Title: WooHoo,I finally upgraded my computer

I\'m so happy so I had to share this with you good people.

Anyhoo I upgraded from a 800Mhz Thunderbird to a 1,2Ghz Tbird,I added a 40 gb 7200rpm IBM (30 wasn\'t enough,too much prOn)

And I have yet to get me a 512 mb ram stick to add to my lonely 256mb stick.

Spent a whole day backing up most of the data *cough*prOn*couch*,just incase something went wrong,thank god (myself :D j/k) it didn\'t.

I haven\'t posted in 2 whole days,and I was getting withdrawal symptoms.

Anyhoo,I am happy.

I just today ordered 2, 128Meg pc100 ram modules for NINE BUCKS EACH!!!!!!!!!

Unreal!! It is generic, but at 9 freaking bucks who cares!!:)

So now I have 256Meg...for only 32 bucks (shipping).

I need to get a new computer. Mine\'s so old, it\'s not even fast enough to stream...so that\'s a waste of my T1...:(

I am thinking about buying some more RAM for my Imac Wensday.
I wanna install OS X! Want more RAM!

Ahhh nO, you finally did it!  We used to be the 800Mhz bros but I guess you\'re too good for me now. ;)  I just got a job with a construction co. with a nice payrate.  I\'ll prolly upgrade in the not-so-distant future to the same exact specs you got (1.2 Ghz Tbird).  But first I\'m gonna deck out my basement with a Toshiba HDTV, Denon receiver, and Paradigm Reference Studios all around.  I don\'t spend as much time on the \'puter as I used to, and the Gamecube with 480p output is coming out so...   I guess this means it\'s best if we break up.

Wait a min....  :)  Tell us how those gamse run on your new setup!!

The grass was greener on the 1Ghz+ I guess

I\'ve been doing a few benchmarks,lot more performance:D

PC100.. cmon dont get that! Get PC2100 DDR ram... tahts the best, dont spend money on gay PC100 ram..

Stick with OS 8/9 man. The only reason you should upgrade is if you absolutely need the eyecandy. I used X for a while and I just switched back, now with Yellow Dog Linux running on a seperate partition.

We just got OS 9,2 on our macs at home,it\'s a heck of alot more stable than 9,1.

I can\'t wait till 10,1,then finally/hopefully OS X will be competly usable
