Title: Who is buying Akira on DVD tommorw?

I\'m going to get the special edition.

the cover of the Regular edition looks better IMO, but of course, I will have the special edition.

Any of you guys have the toys?

Tetsuo looks so tight! One of his arms is starting the transformation and is all huge and nasty, it is awesome!

I got the bike, too :)

Damn. I hate those tin boxes. Why couldn\'t they just made it a really nice fold out or something? Sheesh!

IE: Fight Club Se7en, and a couple of others. Oh well, I guess cardboard just wouldn\'t cut it for something as futuristic as Akira. Although I don\'t like how it was done for the T2 special edition either. Strange world. :)

can you still hear through all speakers? meaning frontleft,middle,frontright,backleft and back right? even though it wont sound as good as THX?

Well you hear from the front left + right, center, and the surround is mono. It\'s not just that, w/o 5.1 the sound isn\'t nearly as good. 5.1 has much richer and deeper sounds. (not to mention it\'s much louder) Oh well.
