I used to love them....in the old SNES days. They made wonderful, wonderful games, and the SNES was full of different genres...fighting games, arcade games, shoot \'em ups. Everything. And the SNES had a huge library of games, as it was the system of choice. But what happened? The N64 turns up. With the old outdated cartridge system, so developers had less space to work in...with blurry, pathetic textures. With hardly any fighting games. With hardly any thirdparty support. With kiddy games..not cartoony, cute, fun-styled games, for everyone, like on the the SNES, but embarassing childish piles of nonsense. Oh, and where are the RPGS? The adventure games? (A la Broken Sword style) The fighting games? And what about some proper sound quality please, OK?
But I was prepared to give them a second chance. The GamCube. But I should have realised things were going wrong when I saw the design. A pink/purple lunchbox anyone?? And the games....tsk, tsk. I know it\'s early days, but its looking pretty bleak. Luigis Mansion looks, well, cack. There doesn\'t seem to be much to do except catch ghosts with your hoover. Nice graphics, though. And what about two greatest games on the N64 , Zelda and Mario? Where are their innotive sequels?? Where are the adult games? Why are loads of games that are going to X-Box and PS2 not reaching gamecube? Where is the massive thirdparty support the SNES had? No fighting games except Super Smash Bros? Why is the next Metroid game so dissappointing? C\'mone Nintendo, please!

Having a game console abortion, are we?
In the argument you just released, the best action for you would be to wait, and see if any games that appeal to you come out, then buy the system.
Nobody is forcing anyone to buy the console at launch.
Let the thing be born, then if you don\'t want it, give it up for adoption.
-
Remember ! when the big N launches a console they want ppl
to know/love it because of it\'s 1st party games. You can expect
some good 3rd party games at spaceshow or what\'s it called ...
Before my Ps2 I had a N64. Goldeneye 007 :masterpiece. Diddy
K racing : lotsa multiplayer fun.
But somehow I have to agree. The N64 was a letdown for me.
I liked the plastic casing/controller though ! You can expect NGC
to be what N64 failed to be, at least to some extent. ( yeah now
it\'s the casing I don\'t like ).
And be aware , Nintendo is gonna have the Momentum real soon.
That combined with more whining PS2 devs : could give Sony a tough competition. Then I haven\'t even mentioned XBOX.....

i dont care if you dont like them...

I was getting worried, no one has insulting Nintendo like this is a long time.
With the old outdated cartridge system, so developers had less space to work in...with blurry, pathetic textures.
Those games were all made by 3rd parties. Rare\'s and Nintendo\'s games actually took advantage of the hardware, barely any of them had blurry textures or fog.
In fact, let\'s end the whole fog argument right now. Listen up Ryu and datadamage(forgot your name, sue me) because you two were complaining about it in another topic.
None of Nintendo\'s or Rare\'s game had annoying fog. NONE. I played them all so I should know.
Mario 64 had none.
Zelda:OOT and MM and none.
Mario Kart had none.
Wave Race had 1 level with fog)Drake Lake), and it wasn\'t so it could hide pop-up because th backrounds were plain.
Goldeneye had 1 level with fog(Jungle).
Perfect Dark had none.
Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie has none.
Blast Corps had none.
Jet Force Gemeni had none.
Conker, the best looking game of last generation, had none.
Star Fox had none.
Diddy Kong Racing had none.
Donkey Kong64 had some in one level but the game still looked great.
1080 had none.
The fog argument is officially dead.
Next time one of you idiots complains about the fact that a lot of N64 games had fog, blame it on the imcompetent third parties like Acclaim. Was Turok 1 the only game that had a lot of fog???...
With hardly any thirdparty support.
Didn\'t need any.
With kiddy games..not cartoony, cute, fun-styled games, for everyone, like on the the SNES, but embarassing childish piles of nonsense.
Name these games.
The adventure games? (A la Broken Sword style)
PSX didn\'t have them either smart ass.
But I should have realised things were going wrong when I saw the design. A pink/purple lunchbox anyone??
Who cares what it ****ing looks like? As long as it has good games then I\'m happy.
The black and silver GameCube looks awesome and last time I checked Nintendo is planning to use those colours at launch.
And the games....tsk, tsk. I know it\'s early days, but its looking pretty bleak. Luigis Mansion looks, well, cack. There doesn\'t seem to be much to do except catch ghosts with your hoover. Nice graphics, though.
One example? LOL! KESSEN IS CRAP! THEREFOR THE PS2 LAUNCH SUXXORS!!!
Do you really think the whole concept of the game will be to just catch ghosts?
Miyamoto, the lead programmer, the most respected and talented game developer in the world, is fully behind this project. And he\'s not an idiot. He\'s not going to release a game like that. Plus, the game has supposedly been in development for 18 months. Could this be the potential Super Mario 64 2? Maybe, but why don\'t you ****ing wait till some reviews come in before you judge it. Sheeeesh.
And what about two greatest games on the N64 , Zelda and Mario? Where are their innotive sequels??
Both of them are coming out next year. Can\'t wait that long? Ha. You\'ve been waiting a lot longer for some good games to start appearing on PS2 so I think you can have a little patience.
Where are the adult games?
Too Human(can\'t wait for this one)
Eternal Darkness
Thornado
RE:0
Rogue Leader
NBA Street
SSX Tricky
Madden 2002(hey 3rd party support this time!)
PSOV2
ect ect I can and could go on but you get the point.
Actually, the games that can be enjoyed by adults out-number the supposed kiddy games.
Kiddy argument for GameCube=dead.
Why are loads of games that are going to X-Box and PS2 not reaching gamecube?
Why are loads of games that are going to GameCube not reaching PS2 and Xbox? BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN EXCLUSIVE HITS.
Where is the massive thirdparty support the SNES had?
1. There is a lot of 3rd party support for GameCube so far.
2. Nintendo\'s 1st and 2nd party games are enough.
3. Their franchises are too hard to compete with.
No fighting games except Super Smash Bros?
Namco is onboard, so NGC should get a Tekken 4 or SC 2 port. But fighting games will be absent on NGC probably. But that\'s why peolpe own more than 1 system. :p
Why is the next Metroid game so dissappointing?
Have you played it or seen it in motion? NO. And neither has anyone else. I suggest all of you save your negative and biased opinions on this game until you see it for yourselves. \'Nuff said about Metroid.
C\'mone Nintendo, please!
My post should hopefully knock some sense into you.

I like my abortion / adoption analogy better! ;)

See this thread serves nothing, because its basing The GameCube\'s success on the N64. Like saying the Dreamcast was doomed by the Saturn. Not really.
The GameCube is planned to appeal to first time gamers, so what? That doesn\'t mean First time gamers DON\'T Need Great games. So you don\'t like the outer casing? WHAT ARE YOU Some Effeminate Loser who wants a console to match your wardrobe. Jizze Crizzie, who really cares? Like your gonna carry your GameCube around w/ you.
Berating a console because of its outer casing..you do not need to play games anymore. I renounce your gamership. Turn in your controllers And Leave, NOW!
And why are we attacking the N64 now...its life span is over. It is. A new system has been premiered and most developers have moved on to the new platforms...WHY are we still entertaining issues about the LAST GENERATION When a NEW ONE is Upon Us? Good Lord!! Has the world gone Topsy-Turvy?
-
Mannnn ! I say something positive about NGC, but I say I just
don\'t like the casing that much and see what angry reactions
follow !
C\'mon lighten up. BTW some ppl don\'t care what kinda shoes
they\'re wearing, some ppl do. Some ppl want consumer electronincs with classy casings. Hell, I won\'t bother anymore....
And to Troglodyte : let\'s hear some comedians decide who\'s reply
was more laughs ;)
\'abortion\' + \'console\'? What is birth of a console then ? A console
coming out of a womans v****a !! LOL :D

Not exactly what I meant.
Abortion in the fact that he\'s "giving up" on gc before it\'s even "born" to the public.
-
;) Yeah I knew from start what you\'re talking about.
BTW remember Npresident Yamauchi stating, some time
ago, that if NGC failed to impress at this years\' E3 he\'d
\'abort\' it ?..... No it\'ll do just fine.
Sorry, I\'m going to bed now. It\'s late here in Holland 2:30 h

Next time one of you idiots complains about the fact that a lot of N64 games had fog, blame it on the imcompetent third parties like Acclaim. Was Turok 1 the only game that had a lot of fog???...
I forget the N64 is what gave birth to you.
ALL of Nintendo\'s games had ****ty @$$ blurry-as-hell textures with the worst resolution a 3D console can possible have. On top of that, the most unstable framerates that can make anyone puke. So before you call anyone an idiot go and play those pathetic and weak games you adore. Fog wasn\'t the only problem the N64 had, it had every conceivable problem a 3D system can have. So stfu.

Not to bash your party Datamage, but the PS1 had no AA and the Godawful jaggies everywhere!! URHH I\'ll take anything over jaggies. Since you are talking about the N64\'s textures. Where are J&D\'s textures, my God they look like ****. Plus the PS2 can only do 1 texture layer at a time, compared to GCs 8. You shouldn\'t be talkin\', bubba.
-
jedimaster - you are an idiot. he was not talking about GC or Ps2, this is an N64 discussion, dummy.
And he is totally correct, Nintendo had crap textures, low polygon counts, low res, short viewpoints, and crap framereates.
For an example of this, play Goldeneye on 4 player and you will feel crawling at 15fps.
haha

Jumpman,
you truely are an ass.
No one flamed the N64 or Gamecube.
He said so far he was dissapointed.
He didnt say that "nintendo sucks ass, and so does jumpman."
Just curious, what are the release dates on those adult themed games?
And why the PS2 launch analogy?
Did he even bring up the PS2 launch?
No he didnt.
So get off your high horse,
cause apparently its so far up your suffering from a lack of oxygen and realize, NINTENDO IS NOT INFALLIBLE!
They arnt the pope, and they arnt god, and they arnt jesus christ.
So admit it.
Come on.
Just say it, NINTENDO IS NOT PERFECT.
Whew, now that wasnt so bad.
Oh yeah, maybe the 1st an 2nd party Nintendo games just arnt enough for people.
Mayvbe they want an engaging story.

Which is a look at mostly launch games, so the comparason is valid.
-
He didnt even mention OWNING a PS2, so hes not comparing the GC launch to the PS2 launch.
Hes saying Nintendo, when COMPARED TO THEMSELVES is getting worse and worse.
A\'la SNES reference.
Also, at least the PS2 had a solid list WITH LAUNCH dates for adult games, if they werent launching with the PS2.
-
JediMaster,
Umm, I was reffering to the PSX vs N64. Nothing with GC or PS2. The N64 looks like horse manuer.

-
Come on, let the man have his opinions. If he thinks Nintendo sucks, then be it. Geez, it\'s not like it affects your life or anything. And I agree with the guy saying that even Nintendo isn\'t perfect... it\'s just a money sucking company like any other for Christ\'s sake.
-
Calm down people,he only said he didnt think much of nintendo anymore.
And Jumpman as long as you still like nintendo then that should be all that matters to you,god if i replyed to every posts that said they didnt like the ps2(that would be alot) the way you had replyed then i think i might have had a heart attack!,but i dont let it bother me know, all i care about is that i still like the PS2: )
But it is good to see that you feel so strongly about nintendo.
-
Jump, you\'ve come a long way since you first started posting here. But in alot of ways, yer still very much a fanboy... and lately it seems like you\'ve been regressing.
"Didn\'t need any." (referring to CS2x\'s mention of N64\'s lack of 3rd party support)
Yes it did. I needed it very much so infact. Don\'t be a fool. There we\'re some great games on the N64.. but they should have had many more developers making many many more types of games which would help generate excitement and fill up the gaps in the N64\'s library where there we\'re only a slight handful of games in many genre\'s.
The DC is 10x the console the N64 was... and it DEFINATELY couldda used a lot more 3rd party support.
"PSX didn\'t have them either smart ass." (refering to the lack of Adventure Games)
Resident Evil 1 - 3
Silent Hill
Clock Tower 1 & 2
AitD: New Nightmare
The X-Files
Fear Effect 1 & 2
Tomb Raider 1-4 (more action/adventure than Adventure/action though)
And those are just off the top of my head. I\'m sure others here could list 10 to 20 more easliy. Already the PS2 is looking to be a good adventure game machine as well with Shadow of Destiny and Monkey Island 4 already here, and Resident Evil 4.. Silent Hill 2... Fear Effect 3... and a few new series starting up sometime this generation.
We\'ve had this discussion before Jump.. and you obviously don\'t even know what constitutes as an adventure game. If we were to loosen the standards quite a bit and add in games like Soul Reaver.. which most people do unfortunately.. then the list I made would increase 10 fold. But those aren\'t true adventures, so I believe they should count.
"Who cares what it ****ing looks like? As long as it has good games then I\'m happy." (I think you all know the pattern by now)
I agree. However I\'d be much happier if the casing didn\'t somehow fill me with the urge to watch "Hello Kitty" every time I looked at it.
"Miyamoto, the lead programmer, the most respected and talented game developer in the world, is fully behind this project."
Personally, I think Miyamoto is overrated. He\'s definately a great, but I don\'t think he\'s the most respected developer in the world. Definately not the most talented. I\'d say he\'s at least on par with other legends like Suzuki, Molyneuex, Roberta Williams, Romero, Kojima, and others.
"Kiddy argument for GameCube=dead."
Well, that\'s yet to be seen. The trend may or may not continue depending on how well recieved the shift is. Parents who think the NGC will be another N64 might be appauled by more adult oriented titles on a Nintnedo system.. and casual gamers might not have enough patience to give Nintnedo another try right away. Nintendo could very well go back to primarilly bein a "Family Entertainment" system.
"1. There is a lot of 3rd party support for GameCube so far.
2. Nintendo\'s 1st and 2nd party games are enough.
3. Their franchises are too hard to compete with."
Points 1, 2, and 3 are all invalid.
1. Nintnendo\'s 3rd party support so far is adequate. It\'s not great, it\'s not overwealming, and it\'s not pathetically absent. Time will tell weither or not the NGC gets the support it needs.
2. No they are not. Maybe for you.. but to make the NGC a commercial success they need to have 3rd parties on board. PERIOD. No console has ever thrived on simple 1rst and 2nd party support.
3. LOL. Ok, whatever man. Can you say opinionated bullshyt?
"Have you played it or seen it in motion? NO. And neither has anyone else. I suggest all of you save your negative and biased opinions on this game until you see it for yourselves. \'Nuff said about Metroid."
Agreed. However, you can\'t say that the news of it\'s switch to FPS and being developed by an green development house is heartining news. You may be excited about the possibilitys.. but I can guantee you that if you are anykind of a Metroid fan, it does strike a chord of fear in your heart. If not.. then you are about the only one who isn\'t at least a bit aprehensive about the news.
---------------
Now, not to say that I think the NGC will be bad in anyway. In fact, I wholeheartly agree with general consensus of this thread. However, I just had to clear the air and give my take on Jumps post since his arrogance, and arrogance period, is a pet peeve of mine. Not to mention that it\'s going to be fun watching him spin out and get all PO\'d when he trys to respond.
Oh.. and one more think. JediMaster.. yer an idiot and a biggot. If you feel that way, then it is my opinion that you should not even be allowed to touch a controller. Or at least locked in a 5x5 room with nothing but a PC loaded to the gills with Text Adventures, EGA Masterpieces, and a load of roms from machines all 16 bit and lower. Then maybe you could learn to appreceate gaming for what it really is.
-
I just hate the rips on the "outer-casing" because its such a BS reason to turn down a console I\'d rather it be something else than outer casing.
-
Yikes! A lot of hatred for me is still present. Oh well.

I just turned the tables to show that most consoles don\'t have very good launches because he was complaining about GameCubes.

When someone says something stupid about anything then I\'ll reply. Use the PG thread as an example.
Yes it did. I needed it very much so infact. Don\'t be a fool. There we\'re some great games on the N64.. but they should have had many more developers making many many more types of games which would help generate excitement and fill up the gaps in the N64\'s library where there we\'re only a slight handful of games in many genre\'s.
That\'s why people own more than one system. Duh? I thought I said a million times that I own PSX.
The DC is 10x the console the N64 was(debatable but the number is more like 2X)... and it DEFINATELY couldda used a lot more 3rd party support.
I bought 12 or 13 1st and 2nd party games, I\'m not complaining about Nintendo\'s lack of third party support.
Resident Evil 1 - 3

Fine, I was wrong. Big deal. Those games were nothing spectacular anyways.
When Capcom made those two Zela GBC games, Miyamoto had them wipped. Whatever he suggested, they did without question. I bet you if you asked those developers who the most respected one is then they would say Miyamoto without hesitation.
Oops, I missed a part.
I agree. However I\'d be much happier if the casing didn\'t somehow fill me with the urge to watch "Hello Kitty" every time I looked at it.

Whatever.
Kiddy argument for GameCube\'s games=dead.
Satisfied?
1. Nintnendo\'s 3rd party support so far is adequate. It\'s not great, it\'s not overwealming, and it\'s not pathetically absent. Time will tell weither or not the NGC gets the support it needs.
Capcom, Sega, Namco, Acclaim, Activision, EA, Factor 5, Kemco, KOEI, Konami, Infogrames, Interplay, Midway, Natsume, Paradigm, Temco, the almighty Titus, Take-Two, THQ, and Ubi Soft have all officially confirmed development for GameCube.
Time\'s up. Nintendo has plenty of third-party support so there won\'t be any horrible game drouts like there were on the N64. Combine that list with all of Nintendo\'s 1st and 2nd parties, and you got plenty of great games to last anyone.
No they are not. Maybe for you.. but to make the NGC a commercial success they need to have 3rd parties on board. PERIOD. No console has ever thrived on simple 1rst and 2nd party support.
The N64 did silly!!!! Factor 5 was the only third-party who made a good game.
Nintendo is the only one who can single-handedly survive on 1st and 2nd party alone. The N64 proves this without a doubt.
Oh I got 2 out of 3. Guess I should be proud. :)
It did strike something because I\'m the biggest Metroid fan in these forums, but since the game has not been properly shown then I can\'t not judge it.
Now, not to say that I think the NGC will be bad in anyway. In fact, I wholeheartly agree with general consensus of this thread. However, I just had to clear the air and give my take on Jumps post since his arrogance, and arrogance period, is a pet peeve of mine. Make no mistake. It\'s arrogance, not ignorance.
Did I get PO\'d? No. You underestimate my self-control capabilities and my intelligence.

jumpman, you got alot of time to kill, huh?

All I did was destroyed the weak fog argument that you and Ryu were rambling about in another topic. You didn\'t have to go all psycho on me. At the time I was playing those games I simply didn\'t care about textures or resolution.
Heh, a few things built up from elsewhere, and I let go of it on here. Anyhow, it\'s all fine and dandy, just don\'t go off calling people idiots. You seem to have a problem with calling people names, you should chill a bit.

-
Atleast I don\'t sit in a cage all day. :D
-
All I can tell you is to wait until Spaceworld. If you\'re still not convinced about Nintendo after that, you have two other successful alternatives to choose from.
-
Just to clear a few things up:
1.) I know the PS2 launch was pathetic, and wasn\'t comparing the GC\'s to the PS2\'s
2.) The outer casing of the GameCube was the least of my reasons for worrying about it.
3.) When I said there are no adult games, I didn\'t mean there wouldn\'t ever be; I meant there aren\'t any being released particularly soon, which is true.
4.) I am no fanboy- I used to love Nintendo, but they are going in the wrong direction in my opinion. Look at the NES and SNES if you don\'t believe me.
5.) Those games Jumpman mentioned do actually have blurry/floggy/low-res(whatever you want to call it) graphics; I used to have an N64, so I\'m not lying.
6.) I based my opinions on the GameCubes launch being dissappointing on reports from various mags, and videos. Why would multi-format mags such as Edge or GamesMaster lie?
7.) I understand I should wait, and the GameCube will get better, but so far, I am dissappointed, and Nintendo seem to be heading down a bad route with all the games I\'ve seen in developement(Note: Games such as TooHuman and Residemt Evil:Zero have had little gameplay footage, so those don\'t count). I hope they surprise us at Space World, because they really need to. Not one Nintendo game impressed me at E3. I hope they deliver. They were a great company.
-
1.) I know the PS2 launch was pathetic, and wasn\'t comparing the GC\'s to the PS2\'s
I know, I was. :D Just to show you that better games will come along latter.
2.) The outer casing of the GameCube was the least of my reasons for worrying about it.
Then don\'t complain about it.
3.) When I said there are no adult games, I didn\'t mean there wouldn\'t ever be; I meant there aren\'t any being released particularly soon, which is true.
It was true for the PS2 too. Just an irrelevant fact...
Oh yeah. RE:0 and Eternal Darkness are coming out before the end of the year. Those are two adult themed games. Eternal Darkness looks to be one of the best game released this year btw. But, there are a lot more good games that come out which adults can enjoy. Here\'s the release list.
http://cube.ign.com/releases.html
4.) I am no fanboy- I used to love Nintendo, but they are going in the wrong direction in my opinion. Look at the NES and SNES if you don\'t believe me.
]
I thought they went a step backwards with N64, but the GameCube doesn\'t look like it will follow in N64\'s footsteps. Wait till SpaceWorld and if you don\'t like what you see then you can always stick with the other systems.
5.) Those games Jumpman mentioned do actually have blurry/floggy/low-res(whatever you want to call it) graphics; I used to have an N64, so I\'m not lying.
I thouroughly explained the fog issue, none of them had any major fog. 1 or two had blurry textures, but the rest looked great. Conker easily looked better than anything that came out last generation.
6.) I based my opinions on the GameCubes launch being dissappointing on reports from various mags, and videos. Why would multi-format mags such as Edge or GamesMaster lie?
Wait till Spaceworld. You\'ll see.
You can\'t expect a system to be perfect within the first few months of it\'s released. PS2 is only starting to pick up with the quality games now. GameCube looks like it may start a little faster but not by that much.
If you don\'t mind me(hehe, that "kill them all" ad just came up as I finished "me" and scared the **** out of me ) asking, then what is so disapointing about GameCube\'s games?
But again, I must say wait until SpaceWorld to see what kind of software quality Nintendo will really have. No one really knows the how good or bad the software is besides Nintendo themselves. Have a little patience and faith.
I have to comment on Too Human though. The game will be great. Have you ever seen the screens for this game when it was still scheduled for a PSX release? Click here for the full preview with screenshots. http://psx.ign.com/previews/11627.html
Just look how good it looked. And to think, Eternal Darkness is using a subset of the Too Human engine... :bounce:

Where did I every say anything about the PS2? I was refering to the jaggies on the PSX. And Finnally, yes, many N64 did have that. But the N64 had many AA or AAA titles, its the gameplay that makes those games rule.
-

See below.
Plus the PS2 can only do 1 texture layer at a time, compared to GCs 8. You shouldn\'t be talkin\', bubba.
That\'s when you brought up the PS2. If you weren\'t talking to me, you should have quoted. Anyhoo, It\'s a waste of time to debate about dead systems. (dead to me anyway)

In fact, let\'s end the whole fog argument right now. Listen up Ryu and datadamage(forgot your name, sue me) because you two were complaining about it in another topic.
Wtf? When did I ever mention fog issues? Go find a fu*king quote buddy. I never mentioned anything about fog. In fact, I could give two sh|ts about fog. Silent Hill had some SERIOUS fog issues (read: atmosphere *snicker*) and I still thought it was a great game. The thing that pisses me off about the N64 was the blurry textures, which is an arguement that you cannot easily refute by saying "blah blah didn\'t have blurry textures." You jumped the gun when you accused me of saying such things. I thought the N64 was the worst console I have ever owned (go to that thread to read what I said about it) and I never ONCE mentioned fog. I think you meant AlteredBeast, not me. See? I get confused with other people when I start posting and now a debate has started that I have nothing to do with. I should go back to my cave where the games are plentiful, the arguements are light, and everyone kisses my ass for introducing them to fire.
-
Seriously dude, wait until Spaceworld. There is a lot we still don\'t know about. I heard that Capcom is going to announce like 7 or 8 games fo the Cube, but, it might not be true.
In any case, the Cube looks very promising!

I declare Jumpman as the most flagrant, idiotic fanboy in here. You are seriously a f*cking annoying idiot!

Haha look at this moron citing two games that were first concieved on the N64 and simply ported to the GC. What does this mean? Those games were not meant for your beloved GC to make it "more mature". They were N64 games that is landing on the GC because the system is dying.
-
Ugh. I thought Nintendo fans were supposed to be the childish ones?

I declare you seer imbecile of the Xbox legion!

SO THAT\'S WHY THEY WERE MOVED? YOUR A GENIUS!
Those games were never meant to make NGC look more mature, where did you get that from? They were ported over to make more money. NO OTHER REASON.
Actually, Eternal Darkness is not a port. They made the code up from scrath up. Just listen to this video for proof.
http://cubemedia.ign.com/media/previews/video/eternaldarkness/ednar1.mov
Nothing has been said about RE:0 though it\'d be foolish not to think they would make the code from the ground up since they\'re working on an entirely different system.
Next time you flame me with insane bull****, then back it up.

Ahh now I see, the reason I brought that up is to not complain so much about the N64s textures, rather I was trying to point out that Nintendo has much better textures now then the PS2 has. Right now, J&D has ****ty textures compared to any GC games like Rogue Leader, StarFox, Lugi\'s Mansion, ect. Once again, I was just implying what is happening right now, showing you that by the next time the Next-Gen systems come out, we\'ll probably have a disscusion on all the PS2s crappy textures, mainly is because they can only have one layer. I\'m just telling you That you shouldn\'t be talking when your current system is the worst on textures then the other ones comming out.

He\'s got you there! That game looks cool! And all from scratch too? Who wuddah thunk it?!?

Eternal Darkness is an N64 game being ported to the GC. *fact*

Your a complete idiot.
*fact*
Just because it started on the N64 first, it doesn\'t mean that it\'s a port. You seem to have major difficulties in believing this. The N64 and NGC have completely different designs, it\'d be foolish to port a game over to it.
If you clicked on my link, then you would know it\'s not a port. Just click on it, then shut the **** up you dumb troll.

Hehe Jumpman...
Am I getting on your nerves? Haha gawsh you are so childish. It was first concepted on the N64, and being ported over to the GC. How the port and upgrade will go, we don\'t know. You are saying it is not a port, which I am pointing out is wrong. Calm down man, you are one emotional insecure little b*tch! Haha what a loser.

OddWorld is a PS2 game being ported to the Xbox ..."Fact".

You call me childish, and then you call me names in an immature fashion. Hmmm... anyone else see the hypocrisy in that?
Solid proof that Eternal Darkness is not a port. Take your head out of your ass and click on the ****ing link.

You can do it boy.

*Ahem*
Anyway, Jumpman, before you asked me what games I was dissappointed in for the GamCube;
1.) Luigis Mansion lacks gameplay according to what I have read, but I could always use it to show off GameCube\'s graphical abilty:p
2.) This may sound stupid to you, but Starfox simply looks too childish for my liking...though, it will get better no doubt. I\'ll put that one on hold for now.
3.) The new Metroid game isn\'t under the control of a particularly good games company, is it? And, it also the video was dissappointing.
4.) Waverace doesn\'t intrest me at all; I\'m not big on water sports:rolleyes:
5.) And, the rest look promising, but nothing is known about them.....Perfect Dark2, Pikimin, Resident Evil:Zero.....ect.
Notice how I put my post in points....Just so Jumpman can quote each point and try and make mincemeat out of each one;) I don\'t know why, but I kinda like it when he does that. A nice debate with Jumpman is an experience to behold....
:D

I\'m not sure if he\'s serious, when he replies to things he doesn\'t like and does it so viciously.

1.) Lugi\'s Mansion is in the hands of a guy who has developer so many great games the chances of it being great are extremely high. How the game plays completely is still under tight wraps, by Nintendo. Expect alot of great things at SpaceWorld on this game.
2.) It doesn\'t matter if it is childish. I will agree, that it may look childish. But if Rare/Nintendo are making this game, it should be good. StarFox is a great franchise and if they can implement the flying elements of StarFox along with the good adventure elements of other Nintendo/Rare platform games, it should be great.
3.) Uh. Okay, I can\'t argue this one. Hmm. I\'m sure Jumpman can, but I just can\'t....
4.) The first WaveRace was a great game. It started this whole water sports genre really. If Nintendo delivers brand new graphics, more gameplay, then its a sure fire winner.
5.) Wait until SpaceWorld. We\'ll see them at SpaceWorld. Not to mention a new Mario, maybe Zelda and alot more.
:)

1. It\'s been in development for 18 months, it\'s being made by the most talented developer in the world, and it\'s Mario\'s replacement for launch; do you honestly think it will be a bad game after just hearing that?
2. Who cares? Like Livy-Ina-Clipo said, it\'s going to combine platforming with those awesome shoot em up space scenes, it will be a great game. Ever play Banjo-Kazooie? Best 3D platform game ever, better than Mario 64. Rare is one talented developer. It might possibly be the best launch game actually...The game doesn\'t look that kiddy the more I look at it. Just the colours, and Jak and Dexter and some pretty colourful envorinments too.
3. I can\'t answer that question since I or anyone else has played their game. What video? Anyways, wait till SpaceWorld.
4. So? I thought it was one of the best racing games last generations. Reserve your judgement until you play it.
5. Perfect Dark 2 is the sequal to the best console FPS ever...
Pikmin is being made by Miyamoto...
RE:0 is a Resident Evil game...if you like the other RE games then chances are your going to like this one...
What more do you need to know?????
