Didn\'t get enough pirates from "Monkey Island?" Well give this one a go:
Pirates of Skull Cove.

Monkey Island does not sound like your kind of game.
I though it was great, that is until it froze on me, and now I have to start all over again! IMO, the first Monkey Island was the absolute best, and can never be improved.

well I can enjoy little puzzles like ICO but not like Tomb Raider where you have to jump from block to block to open a stupid door..... or pulling the right levers..... or moving like 10 objects to open another door....... ahhhhhhhh! I hate that! Just blast the damn door open!!!!!!!

Not the best capture, but here\'s another screen. Videogames.com has more under the PS2 Previews section.
I\'ve been VERY interested in this title since first hearing about it:)

Those are more-or-less "action" puzzles, and you won\'t find many of them in Monkey Island4. MI4 is an adventure game.. and puzzles are the heart and soul of a good adventure game. You\'ll find that almost the entire game consistes of em in MI4. Usually, in a LucasArts or Sierra adventure, the puzzles require more "latteral thinking" than "Action thinking".
Like for example in Gabriel Knight 1: You have to get a local sketch artist to draw the various sketches you\'ve collected from crime scenes into one big picture. However the picture he was working on got blown through a small gap in a fence and he\'s in a bad mood. What you have to do is, buy a hotdog from the local vender and give it to a kid dancing nearby. You\'ll find that the kid wanted one, but didn\'t have the money. So if you give him Hotdog, he\'ll crawl through the fence to get the artists picture. Give the picture back to the artist, and he\'ll be so grateful that he\'ll draw the sketches out for you at no cost.
If yer looking for something to wrack yer brain on, as well as have a good laugh, then get MI. If you want an "Ico" type game then stay as far away as possible.
