I heard that the gamecube version has slowdown whenever they have a wide shot with all the players on screen in the newest build of the game.
Why is there a problem, especially after the comments EA made?
-
Link?
-
not sure, I read it was on ign insider
-
Until I see the link its just a rumor.
-
it may be beacuse EA has had more time with the ps2,
but it does contradict what they said a couple days ago.
-
They said it\'s not running on final hardware.
IGN: The GameCube version of Madden 2002 seemed to be running slow in the most recent build you showed off at EA Gamers\' Day. Why is that?
John: The GameCube version is running slow when there are wide shots and you can see a lot of players on the field, and sometimes on the sideline shots. And that\'s because the hardware that it\'s running on today is not final hardware. The final hardware that we do have is currently in use by the programmers.

Not current hardware by now?
tsk, tsk.
(just quoting ole Fastson.)
Really though, they will fix it before they release it. They can\'t comment on how all powerful GC is with textures and stuff and then release a sports game with slowdown, they aren\'t Ack-lame or 989.
