Ok, spill the beans. Which type of game will you never buy, or would only buy out of boredom:)
My vote: FPS. I just can\'t stand that view.
Tough choice, but only one. Runners up. Dance, and sports (except fishing and golf)

I´ve been reading all genres and... after that I voted for the last option. I love all them :D :D Perhaps music titles... nah, I like them too ;)

Any flying games. Flight simulation games, star wars games, Warhawk style games - all of them. I just don\'t find them fun at all.

ive said i love em all, but there is one type of game, that i find the worst out of all is platform games, there ok, but i hate them when they just have bigger jumps that are harder each time to complete. i love tombraider(some may say this is platform) but i think its cause ive played so many platform games when younger as they were the only ones around. one platformer i love is flashback that was soooooo good

BTW, Jet Grind Radio isn\'t a dance/music game.

I don\'t hate any of those genres, but of that list, I play shooting games the least, so I guess I\'ll vote that.

I don\'t like sports games,
games like SSX are ok, but they are not really sports titles in the "sport" respect

God damn I hate FPS\'s. Everyone that I have ever played has given me a headache, with the only exception being Goldeneye.

Where is the RPG option? Maybe, I\'m blind but I didn\'t see it. The only RPG I have ever truly enjoyed was the Lunar series on the SegaCD. So, my vote would have to go to the RPG genre. I just cannot really get into it. Runner-up would be the sports genre, but every once in awhile I find a sports game I enjoy.
As Gohan pointed out, Jet Grind is not part of the music genre.
Kop- TombRaider is not a platform game. Its an adventure game. True platform game is something like Mario 3 / Yoshi\'s Island the list goes on.

Have you played the Playstation re-make of Lunar 2??? It looks so awesome. The "Complete" set has a making-of CD, which shows all the improvements PS made. Great game.

Yeah, I have. They done an awesome job with the package. I really wish more developers would take note from this. Lunar: The Silver Star Story and Lunar: Eternal Blue both have such awesome packages. You just can\'t beat \'em.
Still, nothing compares to the first time you play \'em back in the good ole\' days.

Yeah I left out a few catagories (Flight, RPG, etc).
They only allow 10 choices..so...

I dont hate any genre. There are at least a few games from each that I like.
My least favourtie would be FPS. But I liked Red Faction and Goldeneye

Hmm, I voted FPS. That genre sucks so bad. :)
I would have voted RPG. :D The only one that ever really interested me was FF7. The rest.. Well, sucks to me.

I hate hunting-games (for example: deer hunter) and i hate angle-games, because i \'ve never seen any good games of that genres.
But i like the good games of the other genres. :)

I can\'t stand fps, I find them difficult & boring. And I\'d rather see the character.
Sports is another genre I won\'t touch. Awful. I include driving games in this genre. Boredom.
Other than that, I pretty much like every genre, especially rpg, fighting, adventure, puzzles, shooting... etc.

Ironfist, I can\'t believe you disrespected Warhawk. I\'ll never talk to you again......ok, maybe just a little :D .
Seriously, I loved Warhawk. Gawd help me, I even loved the FMV part of it. Its cheesiness just helped the game along :D .
Oh, and SmallLady, I felt like I was reading my wife\'s reasons for not liking FPS\'s. She hates \'em too...Is it a girl thing? (j/k :D )
My most hated: Puzzles. Only like Tetris and Bust a Move, and even those I can\'t stand after a while.

JS, this reminds me of the time when one of the solid snakes suggested girls don\'t like MGS just because me & some girl he knew didn\'t like it. Oh well, I guess it\'s good I have such a big influence on what girls like or don\'t like :D
A couple of guys I know don\'t like FFVII, that must mean all guys hate it.

First- and third-person shooters: One word -- violence.
RPGs (except Paper Mario): They encourage irresponsible playing.

I like pretty much everything else except maybe platformers which I think, quite quickly become tedious...

Wow... considering sales and the recent "all but death" of the genre I\'m surprised that Adventure games aren\'t right up there as the most hated. Glad to see some people still enjoy using their brains for more than sending a nerve impulse to press the "fire" button repeatidly.
On to what L-I-C said,

Unfortunately, he\'s right. Although there\'s a ton of action in the game, the flesh and bone of the game is collecting/using items and solving puzzles to progress.
Personally, I\'d be much more apt to classify Resident Evil 1- CV and Silent Hill as adventures before I would Tomb Raider since they focus MORESO on puzzles and item usage than action to progress through an area. Some of the weapons are even puzzles in themselves. Also the "Levels" in Tomb Raider take it a step back from traditional adventure games like MI, SoD, and SQ since all of the games I mentioned consist of areas or "Rooms" that fit seamlessly together into one huge world rather than breaking the game up into lvls like FPS, Action, and Platformers often do. Action/Adventure classifies games like Soul Reaver or Onimushia... and I think it should cover the TR games too.

i loved them as a kid but as i got older they have seemed to lose their steam as to speak - i just find that they aren\'t that inniative - some may disagree but thats how i feel

lets get this straight i dont class tombraider as a platform game, i say its a advrture, but i was mearly pointing out in some mags and some people say its a platformer game....ok, evreyone got that
