Title: Remember The Duck In The Sink Demonstration??

You know, the PlayStation 2 tech demo they showed before it ever launched? It showed a rubber duck swimming in a big sink showing off the water effects. People just thought it was an FMV until the guy picked up the controller and started making the duck swim...:D Anyone remember that? Why don\'t they make more games with those kinds of awesome...insanely awesome...effects?

Splashdown has some awesome watereffects :)

And I hope Jak and Daxter will have them too!

In Ico the water looks amazing, just like in the tech demo.

Baldur\'s Gate: DA has some brilliant water effects.

Full games can do similar effects, but the demo only has the PS2 rendering a small tub with a duck in it. In a full game you gotta do the characters and environments and all so chances are the effect won\'t look quite as good.
I think we\'ll see close to it in the consoles lifetime though.

Not even Baldur\'s Gate had the same water effects as the tech demo. But it sure got me excited that they were trying to implement those kind of effects in the game...;) I haven\'t seen ICO yet...:(

I played the Ico demo and of all the water effects I\'ve seen todate on systems, Ico water looks real!!  In the demo, jump in the water and see it for your self!!  :D

How the heck did you find that? It has the Duck Demo and everything...;)

Download it people if you haven\'t seen it. The duck demo is in the middle of the movie. It\'s big though...:(
