Title: MGS2 not the last game?

In a recent article fans were worried about MGS2 being the last of the series.  That was a rumor because in an interview with Hideo Kojima it would be the last that he directed .  He hopes to stay on as a producer and see the series continue with someone else at the helm.

It\'s a 50-50 chance that there will be another.  IMO, I don\'t know how they could make another one.  What a Metal Gear that swims underwater?  I don\'t know, it would be cool if there was.  Guess will have to wait and see.

He probably meant that it will be the last Metal Gear, but the series will continue with Snake. Just because there are no more Metal Gear games, doesn\'t mean there won\'t be any adventures for Snake.

Have a game based off the same thing, \'cept called "The Adventures of Solid Snake" (ha) or something else. There is alot you can do. Not to mention, they could always do prequels ,etc. You can gurantee Konami is not goin\' to let the franchise die. Somehow, someway, they\'ll continue making money off the Snake character.

I get that its called Metal Gear and all. But in Solid 2 isn\'t Metal Gear Technology sold worldwide to anyone who wants it? So I think they can milk the Metal Gear theme untill it just gets boring.

Jeez!!!!!!! They better make more Metal Gear games or at least Solid Snake games! MGS was the first game to ever make me fall in love with games...... So I don\'t want this dying! As a matter of fact I miss MGS:(..... I need to play it soon.....:)

they can make other games...just without snake, and/or metal gear...a \'spin off\' if you will

or the games will continue to be made, he just wont be directing them  :)

When a game is voted the game of E3 once, and almost does it again the following year, you better believe that the series will continue. :cool:

Wouldn\'t it be great if the situation in Raccoon City, (Resident Evil) got so bad that the government had to call for Snake to go and take care of things. When he gets there he finds the Umbrella Co. created a NEW Metal gear Cyborg with Machine & Living Tissue. This new metal gear has a computer that uses brain matter to process information and "think".
I know that the 2 game developers would most likely not want to work together, but a game that played like MGS2 and had the Horror aspect of Resident Evil would be great.
Just think of trying to sneak around and hiding in lockers as a "Resident Evil" styled creature was sniffing around for you.

He could get the same weapons that are used in the R.E. games.
It would be awesome to switch to first person view and take out a zombie from a distance with a rocket launcher.

that would ruin the MGS name. I would love for them to re release the very first metel gear that never got to the US. I think that it was on nintendo. When u saved Meryl what ever happened to her. What if she became an army of one just like snake?That would be interesting. Old Soldiers Never Die. THats a great release name. Ive tons of ideas. i could go on all day. Konami can contact me if the wanted to. (that would be the day, I wish)

Believe it or not, Shinji Mikami (Devil May Cry, Resident Evil) of Capcom expressed interest in directing the next MGS installment.

yep.... and I\'ll be getting an xbox too! Mainly for the SH2 and MGSX games:p.......
