Microsoft recently held its annual Financial Analyst meeting in the US, which would normally be pretty dull from a gamer’s point of view, being populated by a gaggle of over-paid execs listening to Bill Gates’s attempts to justify Microsoft monopolising the PC market. And possibly the whole Universe, too. With November 8 looming ever nearer, though, Xbox played a crucial role in this year’s presentation and Microsoft chose the event to premiere the first real-time in-game footage of Shrek and Dead or Alive 3. Presumably with the assembled suits looking on none-the-wiser...

I can\'t find the link to the movie. And if it\'s the same movie that was posted on MMcafe last week, it\'s a streaming video and I can\'t watch it with my 56k. :( Does anyone want to post their oppinions of it?

...I watched the footage of DOA3 to catch some game-play elements rather than to admire the Beautiful Graphics(because you can\'t in this footage:( )...and I got excited for the full 3D movements...not simply circular movements around the fighters or little and narrow shift...but the freedom, for example in the forest level, of shifting, running across the forest, through the trees,in a so large environment...Cool !!!!!!!

I watched the movie on my 56k, meaning I saw a picture book with sound. :) From what I saw, the graphics in DOA3 looked pretty good, but it was very hard to really see anything.
I have a question. Did the players ever miss each other because the fighting engine is in full 3d? What I mean by that is were the players ever "off axis" or punching at each other but they were not on the same plane? If they implemented the game in full 3d successfully I will be impressed, because that\'s a hard thing to do.

Good point...I\'m wondering the same :)...watching the movie I had the impression that the fighters are almost free to move anywhere,to run away from the opponent\'s attack and it\'s a true step towards a more realistic action! But it\'s also a hard and ticklish thing to realize,I mean, the realism doesn\'t undermine the Game-Play or break continuosly the rhytm of the action!
Let\'s wait and see how Tecmo are going to implement the Fight in full 3D maintaining a Great Game-Play!
