Ok i was just wondering who is going to get an Xbox?i really carnt make my mind up at the moment,i mean the graphics are looking pretty nice on the Xbox at the moment,but i carnt make up my mind if the game intrest me or not,i mean sure DoA3 looks very good,but i got bored with DoA2 so quick,that i know it will be the same with with new one,and the things that i have heard about Tekken 4 has got me excited.
Halo looks preety cool,but i heard that there was some framrate problems,do you think they will be cleared up,by the time the game comes out?
So what are you all going to do?the problem is i just carnt resist a new console,no matter what i do.
p.s how much better do you think the graphics will actually be on the Xbox,compared to PS2?do you think there will actually be straight smooth lines on the Xbox?:bounce:

I wouldnt buy it.. Cuz I dont think its worth the money.
I\'d wait a year or so to see which games come out..
About the graphics. I think all consoles will be at the same level..

Have you seen an Xbox game that blows away PS2 or GC?
Look at RS2... Very impressive..
But Im happy with my PS2.. So Im stickin with it :)
But I was thinking of getting a GC (for the exclusive titles).. But Im not sure I could afford it right now.. Gotta save for a few PS2 games :)

I\'d wait for awhile before deciding. See how well it sells and see what the games are like. If it does well then get one.

Nah, i totally agree that their graphics rock but all my favs ar ps2 exclusives...

I\'m not buying an Xbox because I don\'t think the Xbox will get the best titles. Certainly MS will try to bring in the best titles by entering bidding wars w/ Sony over 3rd parties but overall I think the GCN or the PS2 will have the better games.

all three of those titles don\'t have dates, and likely won\'t be launching this year..
the only exclusive title is Dino Crisis 3, the 2 sega titles are not exclusive

I didn\'t say they was comin\' out this year. I plan on buying them on their respective release dates. There is no way I am goin\' to pass up a chance to play a new installment of Panzer Dragoon. The same with Jet Set Radio: Future.
Those two games alone secure my purchase in an Xbox. Then you add Capcom support and you have one happy gamer.

I\'ll wait since it obvious Xbox will need a year to get rolling
and there is no way in hell I\'ll have enough time this year to play anything on the Xbox, I\'ll be more then happy playing PS2 games for a while
I\'ll be taking the wait and see approach, but I\'m definetly interested. No reason for me to rush out and get one at launch since my gaming needs will be adequately met

Nope not for me this year. Next year definitely.
I might pick up a Gamecube if I can, but I know I will be happy with my PS2 and DC for now.

Nope. No Xbox this year probably 2002. Raw is War might not be the best wrestling game do to it doesn\'t have HIAC, TLC, or anything like that. Cage match is about the only thing I\'ve heard that I would like right now. So right now the PS2 is going to have to be mine yet again this year. Smackdown! 3, MGS2, TM:B for PS2. Xbox MSX2-Solid Snake, maybe RIW, and if they have a Twisted Metal: Black on Xbox. :bounce:

Personally, none of Sony\'s 2nd party games interest me, so I bought that system due to third party support.
Do you have proof that those games will be on another system? NO . You assume they will. I personally would rather not take the risk on missing out on those games. I would also rather play them on the system they was designed for, as most ports are less then exciting. Why would I pass the chance up to own a new game system with support by my two favorite companies? Sega and Capcom. I will also buy a GC just because of support by Sega and Capcom.
There is also other games on the Xbox that interest me. I just named the ones that interest me the most. There is others though. OddWorld, Project Ego, Project Gotham Racing and etc.

I gotta see what the xbox will end up like before I get it. The only good titles I see in it are the launch titles and the titles that are comming out the rest of the year. If it does good ill get it next year because right now I dont see any future in it at all.

If they were not going anywhere else, then they would call them exclusive... Right now they are called "premire" titles...
So, while I have no proof they will be on another platform, however there is great almost guanteed chance they will be

Wow what a mixed bag there is here,i really carnt make my mind up either,i dont know weather to get one a launch or wait and see how things turn out!
Also there is quiet a few launch games comming out with the Xbox,does anyone have the full list?
And if the games were $35 would that change your mind?

Ehtan, just wait awhile. Better to miss out playing on it straight away than to blow $300 on it.
I\'m sure the PS2 will have enough to keep you happy until you see if the xbox is doing ok

It is very hipocrital everyone in here saying don\'t get xbox at launch because the games are not worth it..and telling ppl to wait because ps2 will have better software...when none of the xbox games have been finalized so who is too say how good the software is..but that is not whats funny. What is funny is Dreamcast had a kick ass line up of games when ps2 launched with a horrible launch of games..but everyone went out and bought it then tried to justify it bye lying to themselves. It is ironic how ppl can go out an buy a ps2 who\'s software was finalized and reviewed and everyone new Dreamcast had the better line up, but still bought the ps2.
But anyways I am gettting xbox at launch with...HALO,NEW LEGENDS,NFL FEVER,WWF RAW IS WAR, AND DOA3. And maybe Munch.

The best buys for anyone will definitely be PS2 and GC. Xbox is on shaky ground, and it could go either way. It could totally bomb, or it could be a huge success. Only time will tell.
My advice to you: If you already have a PS2, it will hold you over until you get an idea of the fate of the Xbox.

i wont get an x box at launch. the launch games dont really intrest me, halo is the only one that INTERESTED me, but then they announced that it WONT BE ONLINE, so that killed my hopes.
all the games i want to play are coming out on ps2. so its all good.
exept my ps2 is in boston getting fixed.

Chrono, even if they was called "exclusive" it doesn\'t matter with third party developers. Resident Evil: Code Veronica was "exclusive" to the DC, now wasn\'t it? Or so everyone thought.
I really could care less. The others would take probably a year or so to port, so I would rather play them A.S.A.P

I know all these aren\'t coming out on launch, but I know they are coming. This is enough for me to get an Xbox.
I still haven\'t found a reason to get a PS2...Jak and Dexter looks good, but I\'m sure Xbox will have its\' own platform games that impress. I will buy DOA3, Munch, SSX Tricky, and Azurik at launch.
Right now it\'s a tough decision. GC will be mine, just not at launch. Starfox Adventures is the only game I want at launch,
that and Wave Race. I think I\'ll wait until Zelda, Metroid, and the next Donkey Kong come out...

I have about 6 games I want to get for PS2 in the next year. (That I know of), and I would rather get those 6 games than another system. It\'s safe to say that there will be no xbox in my house unless I win the lottery or something. In that case, and xbox would be one of the first things I\'d buy with my winnings.

I didnt do that. I dont know about the others but I only got my PS2 about 3 months ago cause it didnt have any games I wanted apart from SSX. But now it\'s got heaps.

Yes, you are right. I don\'t want most of those games. Virtua Fighter 4, Jak and Dexter, and ICO look really cool though. I\'ll probably end up getting a PS2 when it\'s under 200$.
But Xbox, I\'m all excited about it. Just like when I got my DC. It\'s got such an interesting lineup. I happen to like the Dead or Alive series, so 3 should be a blast. Munch will be great, I have every faith. Then Project Gotham looks like so much fun. Project Ego looks to revolutionize the way we play games. Then I can get Metal Gear, Crash, Malice, SSX Tricky, and Silent Hill on Xbox.
Oh, also Artic Thunder (I love the Thunder series), Jet Grind Radio Future (huge fan of the DC game), Devil May Cry is rumoured to be on Xbox also. And what about Namco, they are sure to announce a big title, I\'m guessing Soul Cally 2 or Ridge Racer 5. Panzer Dragoon 4 will be on Xbox first (maybe only), I can\'t pass that up. Then the rumours of Skies of Arcadia X (where ever this ends up, so do I). Then there is Fate, Black and White, Amped, Azurik, Sega GT2, etc.
I\'m very excited with Xbox and can\'t wait to get one. Don\'t worry Chrono, I\'ll get a PS2 someday...when it gets interesting for me.

No gameplay? Have you played them? No, you haven\'t. Have you played Halo? Jet Set Radio: Future? OddWorld? No. Therefor, you assume they have no gameplay and anyways, who are you to judge what other people should like and shouldn\'t like? That is pathetic. So, is your judgement on "graphics whore". Maybe he does like better graphics. Maybe not. Either way, it is his personal choice . You are in no position to pass judgement.
You have also been on these forums long enough that while it says PSX2CENTRAL most of us are multi-console owners and are excited about all systems. That is one of the great things about these forums. You don\'t have to own a PS2 to share your opinion. And while you call him an Xbox fanboy - he never said the PS2 was trash. Just that none of the games interested him YET.
When exactly did you become such a fanboy Chrono? I honestly don\'t remember you being one a few months ago.

Not at first, no way. Besides, they aren\'t all coming out on launch day.
I have 500$ set aside right now just for the Xbox. That should get me a Xbox, remote, another controller, and 2 games (DOA3, and Munch).
Then Amped, Jet Grind Radio Future, Malice, Project Gotham, and Azurik should hit before the year is over. I will buy them as they come out.
