- Why is there a StarFox plane in the first picture?
- Why does it look like Mario is setting a house on fire in the second? Has he gone evil?
- Why the hell is Mario beating up that little boy for coins, in the third picture? Once again, I ask you what the hell is goin\' on?

heh, i think thats the closest will get to seeing mario engaging in anything close to violence...id give anything to see Fiery Mario shooting fireballs again and going down pipes in the sewer like the good old days...im sick of nintendo\'s kiddie crap...and while i enjoyed mario 64 ( the only game i liked on that system besides waverace ) i fear that the next mario game will have him teamed up with pokemon in a happy go lucky gay adventure....

You know...my friend (17) is totally into Pokemon on his Gameboy Color. I keep making fun of him about how childish he seems. He just tells me to shutup. We then proceeded to the mall where he asked the cashier about Pokemon Crystal. He said he had them in stock. I looked at him with great disgust. When he left the cashier, a boy, about 7 years, asked the cashier the same question my friend asked..."Do you have any Pokemon Crystal?" :laughing: I laughed and laughed at my friend...I said "did you see that little kid ask the same stupid question you did!?! I told you it was a kiddie game!!" At this point, he almost gave up playing Pokemon...but he loves it too much. I hope he gets cured of this illness. I still make fun of him every time I see him...;)

My little brother is also 17 and he always plays pokemon. I played Pokemon Red and I though it was pretty good. I just couldn\'t bring myself to trade with other children. I was too ashamed.

The Pokemon games for GBC offer some very good gameplay, and good challenges, if your up to it (such as collecting every Pokemon).
I have not played Pokemon Crystal yet, but I\'ll at least rent it at some point.... :)

first off jackass, i know what smash bros is...i wasnt talking junk about that game, i was commenting on nintendo\'s kiddie style of games, including mario and pokemon..hell...throw in there donkey kong (who was once a villain back in the days).
second of all, im glad you get an erection by considering yourself a \'true gamer\' but get off your high horse...i could care less about being a true gamer or not and ive been around since atari first came out and have seen games improve throughout the years, both graphically and concept wise...a true gamer will not play and like every game that comes out because that means that he or she is a moron and has no opinion...i dont need blood guts or nudity to make me feel more of a man...having sex with my chick is enough for me...you should try sex with a girl instead of jacking off to your videogames....
and finally, games have come a long way...and ive grown up along with them....im not easily satisfied with a simple plot line such as collecting stars or bananas...i want depth, serious plot line or atleast a descent one (one that an elementary school student wont be able to come up with)...i want a greatly composed soundtrack, high polygons and detailed textures plus a steady frame rate...im tired of lazy game companies over looking the simple details that will make a good game stand out from the bad one....technology is very advanced now..whats the use of letting it go to waste? ...save the pretty kiddie games for the GBA where we could relive the good old snes days...and make better use of the powerful consoles that we longed and dreamed would exist back when we were kids...

Who says using technology on a "kiddy" game is a waste? It isn\'t. If you can enhance the expirence then it is all great. A great game is just that - a great game. One that is not limited by its image or genre. Mario 64 is an example of this. It was a great game not limited by its image. Star Fox 64? Same thing. Great game not limited by its image.
We can and should use this technology we have now\'a\'days to advance each genre and catergory. The technology is not limited to mature titles.
That is like sayin\' with all the advanced technology in movies,etc, we shouldn\'t have hand-drawn cartoons that are just fun. Ya\' know, the ones without deep storylines? Just some care-free fun.
Fun is fun. It is not limited by technology. It is not limited by image. Games are meant to be fun. They are not meant to be limited by image .

Even those who deride Nintendo\'s "kiddy image" know that Nintendo owns them. They wouldn\'t be video game players if it weren\'t for Nintendo and their "kiddy" games. People seem to believe that Nintendo\'s approach to the younger audiences is a bad thing. But in fact, Ken Kutaragi actually praised Nintendo for it. The under-14 market is very important to the video game industry and as long as Nintendo continues to bring in millions of new gamers each generation...why mess with the mission?
Nintendo "recruits" new gamers with its franchises, and then those gamers who believe that a better experiences exists on a different format move to a new console. Those who find happiness w/ Nintendo stay loyal. It\'s that simple.

Personally, I think SSB:M will be great. Some people like the concept of a fighting/platform game, and some people want pure fighting.

on another note.....i heard Miyamoto is planning on making the new mario more mature....i guess im not the only one that believes that mario took a kiddier direction once it hit the n64....im looking forward to playing this new installment...too bad the GC is not debutting with a classic mario game like all nintendo systems in the past....

What I\'m saying ALL nintendo does these days are kiddy games, sometimes I feel like playing something like tekken, street fighter 3, soul cailbur, GT3, RR5, shenmue, Final Fantasy games, and VF. What I"m saying nintendo needs to do more fighting games, RPG, Shooters, and Racing games. Similar to what sega does they have vartiy so the does playstation. It just seem like nintendo lacks in a lot of genres.:thepimp: :thepimp:
Oh yeah I"m not a fanboy I pretty much owned every system that ever came out. I plan on getting an xbox. If gamecube didn\'t look like n64 all over again I may get that. Nintendo needs more 3rd parties for gamecube. :thepimp:

DOA3 and Tekken are FAR from "deep" fighters.
BTW, Let\'s wait until we hear about Namco\'s surprise Gamecube fighter at Spaceworld before we say that it lacks in fighting games.

First of all, SSBM will rein over the others in sound and music. The XBox uses Dolby AC-3 which has a lag problem, shots sometimes come in 3 tenths of a second behind when they are fired. GC uses Dolpy Pro, much less lag, and the GCs sound chip alows it to create 5.1 effects. So really, GC gets the better deal on sound. You must be kidding me about the music. Listening to the upgraded version of the music from Super Mario Brothers, Star Fox, Zelda Theme,ect. I am still trying to open up the Soundcheck mode in SSB. I have the 4 extra characters, the item select, the extra course.
As far as I know, what crap has Nintendo been saying?:laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:
In SSBM, the characters are only about 3 inches tall on your screen if you have a 27 inch TV. And that is conservative. In DOA3, the fighters take up half the screen apeice. Stop bashing the close up shots for their graphics. All extra detail would be wasted. Once again, have you even played SSB or Melee? I still don\'t know where you get where this gameplay would lack at
