....can you give me some reasons as to why it\'s worth buying or what the heck is there to get excited about. I mean truthfully, because when someone says Rogue leader or Mario (or Luigi) I\'m quickly reminded of why I\'m getting a Gamecube. But what the heck does the XBOX have to offer.
I honestly don\'t see this machine going anywhere fast if it can\'t produce some killer exclusives (bye bye malice. not to say this this was a killer title but it was something). I know Ethan Hunt started a similar thread, but I felt the need to add to that with hearing specific benefits (both short run and long run) of buying an xbox.

Hmmmmmm............lets see gamecube is made by nintendo, cheaper, and has well known games. As for xbox its more powerful has more 3rd party support, more adult games. I guess it depends on what you want. So far I like gamecube price tag better, but xbox is getting some pretty big game(DOA3, Onimusha, Oddworld, etc).:thepimp: :thepimp: :thepimp: :thepimp:

The only reasons for me are DOA3 and Halo at launch time....
If the system bombs, i will have a historic piece of hardware to showcase in 20 years. :D

You won\'t see any Metal Gear Solid games. GameCube is directed to 10 year olds and younger. PS2 and Xbox are for 13 year olds and older. Soooooo do what ever you want to do.:confused:

Some of Sega\'s top titles, and I mean TOP titles are being made for X-Box.

Streets of Rage 4 (rumored)
House of the Dead 3
Crazy Taxi: Next
online play with sports titles (and probably all other ones too)
Plus, Peter Molyneaux, a PC gaming genius, maker of Populous and Black and White, has split up several of his dev teams into making very good looking X-Box first and second parties.
Project Ego alone looks to warrant a purchase. Go read any preview on it and it will make you drool.

I guess it\'s a matter of taste because I never got into the first three game series and therefore my excitement for them is low. But anyway how many of these titles will be available at launch? I really think the xbox has potential at least graphic-wise and it would be a pity to see it go to waste. I don\'t care if Mr. Gates becomes a goo-goo zillionnaire so long as I\'m happy (which means playing games among several things whether on an xbox, ps2 or cube).
To sum it all up, I just see the xbox as sort of like a ps2 clone (only with better graphics) that\'s going to do battle with sony for third party support. Furthermore, with Ps2 all ready on the scene with great games people may not see the need to purchase an xbox. This is why I think the system needs some killer exclusives to attract gamers and developers. I doubt most of those titles you mentioned will be exclusive (at least the sega titles).

Personally, I am getting an Xbox because I am a loser and I have to have all of the gaming consoles and all of the good games so that I have a false sense of coolness. Also I think the Xbox is the most innovative console this generation and the possibilities for gameplay innovations very interesting.

Xbox is awesome. I don\'t care what people say about it, it looks really neat and that HDD that comes with it will make games soar even higher. But I wouldn\'t get it on the very first year though.... The games don\'t look to great.:(

What could I say...X-Box is a great piece of hardware with really nice features...beautiful graphics,5.1 dolby surround sound in real time thanks to the MCPX...and the built-in hard drive which gives developers the advantage,for example, to manipulate data files that are larger than the system\'s memory so you can stream the level off of the hard drive and into RAM, for nearly limitless levels...or they could use it as a texture cache to store extra textures,for incredibly detailed and rich textures...and other advantages...
so...the X-Box has all the potential to give us incredible gaming-experiences...and I think it\'s not so wise blaming a console which has still 3 months to go :)

I respect you but find this comment obsurd, ok it does have some kid oriented games but RL is looking awesome, and the new perfect dark game is coming to it soon so it isnt 10 and younger,I think it will be like the N64 game wise(like what kind of games) just with a lot more of it

Is that a "fact", Rast? I mean, that the Xbox line up is better then GC? No, it isn\'t. It is a matter of opinion and personal taste. Some of us enjoy classic Nintendo franchises. At the same time, some of us enjoy what the Xbox will offer.
They both have excellent line ups.
For the record though, there is no way the Xbox can destory Nintendo\'s GameCube. The GameCube has its own target auidence Xbox nor PS2 are catering to that auidence.
Back to the topic...In the end, we can\'t give you a reason to buy the Xbox over another system. You have to decide that for yourself. What kind of games do you like? Look at the list, decide if the list is a "reason" for you to buy it or not.

I defend any system that get\'s wrongfully bashed. I can give you a link where I defended PS2 in full fource. I\'ve even been called an Xbox fanboy for defending it once.
Like I said earlier and LIC just said, it\'s not fact that Xbox has a better line-up and it never will be. It\'s all a matter of opinion. It\'s not a very hard concept to realize.
Funny, I never even mentioned Nintendo in my last post. :rolleyes: I was simply explaining the whole "opinion vs fact" deal, which shouldn\'t be a new thing to anyone. But of course, there are always some who take a little longer to comprehend it. *sigh*

The reason why I am addressing this is because I am beginning to build a detestable disliking towards you. I never hate anyone, nor do I have any sort of degrading viewpoint towards any individual in particular. You are of a different case. I don\'t care that your in love with Xbox, I don\'t care that Altered Beast makes love to all of his Sega systems every night, and I certainly don\'t care what raslant likes.
