Title: What PC game should I buy?

I\'ve got about $50 to waste, and I haven\'t tried anything lately, so I don\'t know whats any good.  Suggestions?

Black and white is a great game but your PC has to be Powerful enough to take full advantage of it.
Anything Above a
256mg ram
and 32mg GFX Card should run it nicely

if you like strategy games with a bit of Creature managment then this is the game for you

Should\'ve posted specs:
Pentium II 350 Mhz
Hercules 3d Prophet Mx 2 (somethin\' like that)  has a GeForce2 MX chip  only 32MB though
192MB RAM

I have Black and White, and I have played it almost every day I\'ve had it since I got it 2 months ago!  I was thinking about Max Payne, but they say its short.  Does it have good replay value?

$10/month. A word of caution, if you value your life @ all, don\'t jump into EverQuest. You\'ll either thank me for it, or be recooperating in the eq-anonymous meetings.

btw -- while I think Max Payne is great, I don\'t think it would run too well on your PC. (just being honest)

He\'s right.

I don\'t know if anyone has noticed but I haven\'t been posting as much as I used too because of this game. It could seriously be the only thing you live for. :)

I would also recommend Max Payne after a Vid Card upgrade...maybe even a Motherboard/CPU upgrade too.

To all those who recommended Max Payne, I thank thee!  This game is the most fun I\'ve had since I first bought B&W!  I\'ve got one question though, when I try to install the level editor, model creator, etc. the setup for it has a crappy error!  Is it the stupid CD?  If you know where I can download these, I\'d be happy to know.  (I\'m to lazy to search)

BTW, it runs great on my computer with some settings low, some high, and 1 or 2 medium.

Does anyone know if/when Max Payne will be comming to the PS2? I\'ve seen it running at Compucentre and the game looks incredible, but my feeble PC isn\'t powerful enough to run the game. :(

I just got it today. It\'s quite cool! I love the bullet time effect... but it does get a little bit old.

Broken Sword 1+2 (the best adventures)
Trespasser (very realistic)
Age of Kings
Starcraft
Anarchy Online or Everquest (but not that lame Ultima Online)



But the best game is (still): QUAKE II

Age of Kings is the best PC gamer i have ever played.

you can build up emires, and fight people online. its a great game,

i woulfd give it a 9.9!

I think the best online strategy game is still Starcraft, but Age of Kings has wonderful graphics, an intelligent gameplay and a great editor. 9.8 ;)
