Autumn Tokyo Game Show Update
08.10 10pm EST
This week the CESA (Computer Entertainment Software Association) released new details concerning Autumn TGS 2001, scheduled for October 12-14 at the Makuhari Messe. Specifically, Microsoft and Sony have both confirmed plans to participate in this years event. More importantly, Microsoft has reserved the largest floor space at the show, presumably to promote the release of the Xbox. Comparatively, Sony\'s booth will be quite small and is expected to focus on a handful of first-party PlayStation 2 titles. Unfortunately, Nintendo has decided not to participate in Autumn TGS. Several other companies have already reserved booth space including Capcom, Enix, From Software, Konami, Namco, Sega, and Square amongst others. For a sneak peek at the floor plan for this years event, check out the map below.

To be a runaway success that Bill needs, Xbox must impress the japanese and show them something so they must buy the system. So far I don\'t see anything to woo over those crazy japanese. Hopefully TGS will show us what they need.
What I expect to see-
-A top notch RPG that hasn\'t been revealed and will be out shortly.
-Namco to announce Soul Cally 2 or Ridge Racer for Xbox
-Square to show off all versions of FFXI
I\'m running out of ideas. The Xbox doesn\'t seem to have much to appeal to anyone outside the states right now. I really hope this changes...

I\'m expecting more from spaceword due to all the nintendo fans. Everytime someone says something about gamecube they respond with "oh wait til spaceworld". SO I\'m expecting a lot of 3rd party support and huge games, don\'t let me down nintendo.
