I don\'t know if you were just kidding or what, but I\'ll have to diagree with you EviscerationX I think the water looks nothing but real, and Im surprised on how good it looks! Anyway you welcome for the movies;)

of course I\'m using QT
but .mov are heavily compressed and a older slower processor just can not keep up with .mov
I have no troubles at home with my PIII 450 but at home I have 56K
I was playing GT3 and forgot to download the flicks last noght
Hopefully Gamespot will post some new mpregs today

I\'m sorry about that...:( Maybe you should just stick with your faster one...unless you rarely have access to it...

hmm, well im not too impressed due to the stuttering problems (which i hope are the .mov and not the game) and from the looks of most of it, it seems to be running at 30fps...
and boy do those blurry textures stand out...
but i guess it would be nice to have next to wave race...
one is a wave runner race while the other one is on jet skiis with awesome weather fx.......
the water looks really good though....i was impressed by that...
and its using cool transparency fx too...
i hope it feels like were actually racing on a wave runner though...
when does this come out again?

Not sure which game you\'re looking at, but this looks far more impressive to me than WaveRace. Blurry Textures? ok...as if WaveRace doesn\'t have any blurry textures. From the water, to the backgrounds this is WaveRace\'s superior in every possible respect. And for your information the developers for Waverace confirmed it\'s clocked at 30fps, so harping on this game\'s APPARENT 30fps doesn\'t bolster your argument much, if at all.
Another amazing game for the PS2.

It must be your PC or movie player, the movie ran without any hitching on my end. Also, I think the textures look great for a PS2 game.. regardless, you can\'t determine the sharpness of textures on compressed footage. The water is amazing.

yeah the water sure looks good...specially that movie with the sun setting...ps2 does some great lighting...
well, i sure hope the stuttering was my pc ( i guess since i havent defragged lately and ive been burning a lot)..but take a look at them again just in case..the stuttering comes after taking a jump and on the way down...like in ecco when youd jump out of the water....
...just a thought though, wouldnt it be nice if people could state their opinions or replies and not end them with an insult

It starts with a fly-by of the entire course, then the music starts pumping and the camera catches up with the start of the race. You then see a view from the back of a Sea-doo as it spurts out water and bombs away. Awesome. The water is Photo-Realistic. Some things that I\'ve noticed about Splashdown that people have been wrong about :
1. You CAN see the bottom of the water, but only in shallow parts (which is true to real life)
2. The game has five players on screen not four.
3. The game moves at a blistering pace 60fps (if the movies jerk its ur PC, fine on my PIII850)
4. The scenery is nice
4. I WANT THIS GAME BADLY!!
