Title: Muscle Question....

I injured my back a month ago,
 I noticed my stomach got a bit
chubby... ;)  I was wondering if
those electrode gizmos really work
as they say on TV, you know those pads
you attach to muscles and give it some
electric juice and they contract etc...
does that crap actually work? Is it worth
getting???? anyone ? help?

Put it this way:  If they really did work wouldnt it be a huge revolutionary breakthrough?  Lose your gut without exercise!  I wouldnt go for it man, pick up a copy of Men\'s Health Magazine or something.  Go at it the hardcore way.

so exercise that muscle and it will get bigger which might not be a good thing, it could make your gut look bigger.

That would suck.

You\'re supposed to workout your abs almost every day anyway, but that\'s just what I do. Girls love punching guys in the stomach with hard abs...*wink, wink* ;) Sort of makes them blush too...

I can do my chest, arms, but stomach is out of question for at least another 4 weeks, i have to let my back heal. Maybe i will get that gizmo with the electro-patches... :rolleyes: maybe it will work...

I\'ve only seen most of those on infommercials...:rolleyes: Of course...I bought one of those rotisserie things off the TV, and it makes the best chicken I\'ve ever tasted, so...you can give it a try...;) You never know.

get yourself an ab wheel for $8 in walmart...
do 3 sets of 15 in the mornings and at night...every other day...
and while youre watching tv,  do some leg raises...lay flatt on your back and raise your legs straight up without bending your knees and bring them down slowly until they ALMOST touch the bed again ..DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH THE BED OTHERWISE YOULL BE RESTING/CHEATING...

dont blow youre money on that electronic thing...plus,  if you want muscles in  your stomach...lay off the junk...no more mcdonalds or bk or mayo or butter or pizza or whole milk....
youll never put muscle in your stomach if you keep adding fat to it...also,  do a lot of cardio exercises...

trust me,  i had a gut 4 months ago and went on this no junk diet and its payed off....now i cant bring myself to eat junk  anymore..specially late at night while im on these dumb forums..lol.....

Lay off pizza? NO WAY ;) that is my altime favorite food,
and i have been eating a lot of pizza in the last 6 weeks,
i noticed my stomach getting bigger, ... :(  but i love pizza damn it.
Yeah, you are right, i should stay off the cola,chips,pizza,beer,etc... junk... :eek: But it is sooo freaking hard ! :mad:

You went on a diet? and excersise program? ;) I used to have this messed up diet, i just drank juice fruit/vegie for 3 weeks, with no meat, bread, etc... i lost 20 pounds,  i was very weak though after this diet... ;)

yeah,  well i hate veggies xept for carrots,  pumpkin and potatoes...but i laid off all the junk...i havent had bk in over 4 and a half months...i havent had a pizza in longer....and im fine...
i lost 10 pounds of gut fat...
now im working out hardcore in the gym and taking some weight gainers that have no grams of fat to put on some mass...
the stomachs the hardest muscle to develop....and you have to lay off the pizza otherwise,  forget about it..might as well not even try to begin an exercise program...

well i know someone who used them and yeah it works..... it gives u slight electric shocks thast make your muscles they are connected to tense up.....they wont make you fit, just make your muscles more toned, but if you do stuff like runing and eat better it will do if faster...i mean it will make your stomach muscles bigger ( or where ever u use it) but it wont make you physically fitter. if you know what i mean......


did you know bruce lee used them, but of course he also excersied as well

To stay lean I just run 5 miles a day and do crunches after running, but do it at your own pace, but running and doing crunches will really trim your waist

Pick up a copy of the Bruce Lee workout, that thing is frickin amazing and works like a dream.

The thing that Bruce lee used was kind of like an electrical forcefield thing that he would punch into. It would help him to increase his jab and reflex speed in vast amounts.

Ok, i tried this electro-pad thingy,
holy crap, they say if you put that thing on your stomach
on full blast and for more then 10 minutes you will
get a good workout... well i had it on for 20 minutes,
the next day i did not feel sore or nothing ... :rolleyes:
this "toy" is going back, i want my money back...
If i do 10 minutes of real crunches, like 80-100
i can feel it the next day... this thing is crap... :(

What kind of workouts does someone need to do in order to gain thin waist with tight abdominals?
I dont want my abdominal muscles for example to get bigger.I just want them to look tight and worked out.

Does anyone know?
