Title: n0-0ne help ...
Post by: SkillzMasta on August 20, 2001, 01:55:16 PM
im looking at the gainward gefofrce 3 since i  found a great deal for it and in many articales it performed the best...the only flaw was that in the articiale it recorded the highest temperature (119degees) the lowest temperature was the visiontek (95degreees).   The gainward oc\'ed the core speed to 335mghz ...but no other card could do 335 and gainward was also able to oc the most in memoryspeed but i fogrgot how fast that went....do u think that gainward is good and do u think the 119 degree temerature will cause a problem...it didnt for  them.  one last note...i found a deal for the gainward at 300$ and i know thats a great deal.  thanks for your help

If you mean the GF3 POWERPACK!!! then IMO you should go for it. In every test I\'ve seen it has run as well or in many cases better than the competing GF3 cards. Plus it has the best 2d quality of any GF3 on the market at the moment. And its one of the lowest priced GF3 cards out. IMO go for it.

(hey nO-One is supposed to be telling you all this stuff.)

I haven\'t checked out what the best perfomer of the GF.3\'s is, so just check the reviews, and if you get a good deal go for it.

And if your worried about the temps it would be covered by the warrinty, the only thing of concern is that the card will help to heat the system, and if you have a proc that generates alot of hear like an Athlon it can help to increase the heat since the AGP slot is right next to it.But I doupt that it is anything that you should worry about.

But the Radeon8500 is supposed to be out sometime next month, then nVidia will proply release a GF.3 Ultra and lower the price of the basic GF.3.
