Sonic Team\'s secret GameCube game is indeed a port of Sonic Adventure 2.
GameSpot can now confirm that Sonic Team\'s secret GameCube game is indeed a port of Sonic Adventure 2. Details regarding GameCube-specific features have not been revealed at this time, but the game is listed on the official Space World 2001 games lineup. jeez... they better! I heard that Sonic Adventure 2 sucked!..... I dunno about dis...

Sucked?
The bozos at EGM are at it again. *sighs*

I love Sonic, but this news sucks. I can understand why they are doing a port (to make more money), but I want to see an all new Sonic. I was really hoping for a Sonic and Mario game. :(

Sonic Adventure 3 would of been real nice Sega. Thanks a lot!!!!
-
Nights 2 would have been much more exciting... I have sonic adventure 2!

I already had SA2 for DC.But I sold it because I don\'t play it anymore:shy: .If Sega adds enough extra I might want to try it again

I don\'t know who told you that. It wasn\'t the greatest game; but it was FAR from sucky. My only problem was with the lack of Sonic in the game. The Sonic and Shadow levels were my favorites and the lack therof pissed me off sometimes.
I hope they:
1. Upgrade the graphics
2. Add some new levels
3. Add some new Chao features.
[EDIT]Now that I think about it. How will they implement the Chao Mini-Game with no VMU?!?!?!

I think they\'ll upgrade the graphics. I still feel a little weird with Sega being a "games-only" company. Sonic on Nintendo? It doesn\'t seem right. But who knows what the future will bring us.

Bah, I have the DC version and I don\'t like it too much. A whole new Sonic game would have been preferred. Notice Sonic is in bold. Kill the other lame (to play with) characters.

So, very true man. I could care less about playing as Knuckles or Tails . I want to play a Sonic game. Not the others.
SA2 wasn\'t a horrible game. IT wasn\'t the greatest either. The Sonic / Shadow stages was excellent but there wasn\'t enough of \'em sadly.
IF Sega fixed some of the camera issues and added a few more Sonic / Shadows stages this would be a lot better . I doubt we see either happen though.

Man, I understand. I don\'t know why they made less of him to begin with. The game is called "Sonic". He\'s the best character out of \'em all.

Guys, settle down. This can ONLY be good news. I have Sonic Adv. 2 and I thought it was one of the best games I\'ve played. It fast, beautiful, and alot of fun. Gamecube can only improve on it, so this is going to be good.
I don\'t know whether I will be buying it or not though. I\'ll have to see if they add any thing~levels, take away tails and Robotnik (I loved the Knuckles and Rouge stages), bosses...
As for Sonic Adv. 3, it is in developement (they announced it when they had publicly shown SA2) and Sonic Team can be quoted saying they would like to see the game on all consoles...but give it time guys. The original Adventure came out it 1999, the sequel in 2001, so we\'re probably looking at summer 2003 before we get another Sonic.

This has only been confirmed by gamestop, the same people who "confirmed" that the NGC controller was altered again( ), so I\'ll juts wait the 4 days until SpaceWorld.
But it\'s still pretty good news for Nintendo and me though. Nintendo gets Sega\'s most popular and well-knowned franchise and since my stores don\'t carry DC games anymore I can play SA2. :) It would of been a lot better if it was just a whole new Sonic game. :(
Nights 2 would have been much more exciting... I have sonic adventure 2!
Heh, what was so great about the original NiGHTS? It was one of the only Saturn games that I\'ve ever played and it was only average, nothing spectacular.
The flying concept was cool, but you wern\'t completely free, it always felt like you were on tracks. The controls were horrible. And after the two hours it took you to finally get used to the controls then you were already 75% done the game.Good concept, but painfully poor execution. And to think Sega hyped it up as a Mario 64 killer....ha.

Nights was freaking awesome. Not only did it come with the analog controller which was designed better than any controller the last generation, it was also original. And to get a good ranking in the "dreams" took a lot of practice.
Sheesh.
;)

Yes but why was it awesome? That\'s all I want to know.
The story-line was lame(two people going into a "land of dreams" that\'s about to be turned into "the land of nightmares"), it only had 7 levels I think, had no replay value once you got an A score on each course(which was pretty pointless anyway), besides the whole flying thing(and half of the time you were on thr ground) what\'s so good about it? It boggles the mind.
-
Yea I agree....Nights is awesome!
I guess some ppl can\'t appreciate innovation and great gameplay...LOL!
It boggles the mind
Oh man talk about no respect! I would take that as a flame. Um just because you don\'t happen to like it doesn\'t mean everyone else has to hate it. Different strokes for different folks man. Just calm down and quit the flaming goddamnit! Ok cool....LOL.

Um...When was I flaming Sherlock? I just asked why everyone thought NiGHTS was so spectacular when I thought it was only an barely above average game? No need to get your panties in a twist.
I would take that as a flame.
You take anything I say as a flame.
-
I played Nights along time ago it was kind of cool but nothing special,It wasn\'t as good as SEGA had me thinking .I like the controller:D
-
what\'s so good about it? It boggles the mind.
Um that was rude. Why didn\'t you just merely ask for his opinion rather than insert a negative response to it. Geez.....
You take anything I say as a flame
You are the biggest flamer in here!
-
Are you going to cry Tshirts? Did my small negative comment of NiGHTS affect you that much? Geez...
You are the biggest flamer in here!
Coming from you that means nothing to me. I could care less what you think.
-
Here we go again. I wouldn\'t be surprised if one of the moderators has their finger on the "ban" button.
-
Yay! I can see another thread being closed because someone can\'t be mature.
I did not take what Jumpman said as a flame. This is the *debate* section. He doesn\'t like Nights! and I love Nights!.
Tshirts , please don\'t start another big fight with "you are, this and that". We don\'t need it. Sheesh. Rastalant has cooled down with all this crap, I hope you will also Tshirts.
And Jumpman, damnit, Nights! was awesome because it was original . I don\'t pretend it was better than Mario64 which I think was better than both Crash and Nights that year, but still Nights! was an awesome game, in my opinion.
-
NiGHTS is and was so awesome because:
-It came shipped with the NiGHTS pad, the best controller ever IMO, for the price of a normal game.
-It was one of the first truly innovative 3D games out there
-At the time it had great, lush graphics, even with the popup.
-It was challenging. I still try about every week to master it, but getting all A\'s is TOUGH!
They were actually making a NiGHTS 2, guys, right before Saturn died in America, but since Sega changed focuse from Saturn to DC, Sonic Team canceled it. It had a feature where you would unplug the controller from the base (notice how it is detachable!) and you would use the pad to represent your guy and would have the guy fly around using the actions you do!
simply amazing!
