I expected it to look alot better:shy:
I guess SEGA is going for a straight port:(

Oooh! Look @ that, the GC can handle a DC game.
Or, Sonic Team managed to throw it on the GC w/o any alterations.
Disappointments left and right. I think it\'s time to find a new hobby.

They ported a DC game...Good for them.
Please, don\'t let this by an indication of Sega\'s third party support....
-
Yuck. Let\'s just hope it\'s still in the early stages.

Yeah...I know...*shrugs*...

Looks about like the dc version.:thepimp:
-
what the hell do you guys expect?
It will get better, Sega isn\'t 3DO.
Curses to all of you non-believers!!! :)
Meanwhile, that is one great looking DC game :)

Guys, the game looked amazing!!! on DC. Trust me, there won\'t be much they can improve on. The textures were all out crazy, tons of colors, very very very little pop up. Very fast, very fun.
Don\'t be such graphic whores...the game is a gem and you would be a fool to pass it up if you haven\'t played it already.
-
Well SA2 looked good to begin with so thats a good thing.
-
and by the way, those pics don\'t hold a candle to seeing the game in motion. They never do...
-
I have Sonic Adventure 2... So why would I want SA2 for GC? but, Nintendo, with Sonic Team under its belt will be awsome. Bitter rivals become the best of allies
-
early stages of dev would mean a straight port
After that they would work on maximizing the hardware IMO
give it time. these are the 1st batches of Screens for the GC version
-
Since porting games to GC is so easy, Sega has time to add extras to the games.
Sega and its subsidiaries have emerged as Nintendo\'s strongest third party developers. Do they believe in Nintendo\'s claims of easy software development on the GameCube? Naka-san contunued, , "I believe it\'s true. If today\'s showing is any indication, we\'ve been able to transplant Sonic Adventure 2 and Phantasy Star Online easily to the GameCube. The short translation time is allowing us to focus on adding new elements to both games."

PS2 - Degradement in graphics (VF4, Crazy Taxi, RE: Code V)
GameCube - Straight ports with zero upgradements (PS online, SA 2)
Xbox - Upgradement in graphics (Jet Set Future, Gun Valkrie)
Indication of emphasis and prominence for a particular console by Sega? Indication of power of each console? You betcha!

But did you read my post?It clearly says that Sega has time to add extras to the GC ports.Acclaim sucks they couldn\'t even port Crazy Taxi right.Capcom wanted to go for a straight port, they could have boosted up the graphic but they decided not to:shy:

When was VF4 shown running on the PS2? Exactly. Sega officials have stated that it might actually look better than its arcade counterpart. And your X-box comments are completely irrelevant. Both those games are new. Not ports from anywhere else. Try some better examples.
