Our valiant Nintendo reporters called in from the press conference to reveal that Nintendo has let the plumber out of the bag:
It\'s-a-me, Mario: Mario Sunshine is the official sequel to Super Mario 64, developed by Nintendo\'s internal EAD studios. The demo shown during the Spaceworld press conference showed Mario running over rooftops and jumping off walls. Mario was wearing some sort of glass contraption on his back -- what it does, we don\'t know at this point.
Zelda Returns: Early reports from our guys in Japan have come in, and get this, the new Zelda game is completely toon-shaded. Similar to Sega\'s Jet Grind Radio, all characters and environments are cel-shaded to make the game look like a live-action cartoon. Showgoers are raving over extremely realistic animation and beautiful graphics that put other GameCube titles to shame. According to our reporters, Link looks significantly younger in this Zelda title, which is slated to hit stores Christmas 2002.
Note that the game shown is completely different from the demo that appeared at Spaceworld 2000 and 1999. Could there be another Zelda game in the works as well?
We\'ll have more details on these games soon -- stay tuned for more.
The full article from IGN
From what this guy said zelda puts the other GC games to shame. I have to see it now. Mario sunshine sounds so fruity, but the game sounds awesome. Just a couple of more hours.:thepimp: :thepimp: :thepimp:

I just got this horrible feeling...Mario Sunshine? Zelda with cartoon graphics?
I\'m starting to enjoy my preordered Xbox more and more...
-
LOL, when I heard the name of the new Mario, I couldn\'t stop laughing. I guess Nintendo doesn\'t really care about their kiddie image afterall. The glass pack on his back sounds interesting though.
I want to see Zelda VERY BAD! How can a game that looks like a chartoon look better than any other game on the NGC? This I have to see. :)

Mario Sunshine and cell-shaded Zelda?? What\'s next, gay yellow labrats ****fighting?? Oh wait, they\'ve already done that.
Nintendo\'s beginning to dissapoint.
-
Nintendo has great and innovative games.

Cel-shaded Zelda? WHAT THE **** IS NINTENDO SMOKING? Oh dear god I don\'t think I\'ll be able to enjoy the game no matter how good it is. Dammit. Why are they ****ing with their best series like that? Why the bloody hell couldn\'t it just look like the way it did at last year\'s SpaceWorld. It looked amazing then. Stupid stupid Nintendo. Dammit. Link looks younger than he did in the N64 versions? Dammit. That C-stick/controlling his arm rumour I posted better be true or else I\'ll lose all interest in the next Zelda. Dammit. I don\'t want a freaken\' cartoon.
Atleast I can fall back on Mario. Thank god it\'s the sequal to Mario 64. They\'re ****ing themselves by calling it Mario Sunshine but I could care less what it\'s called. It\'s supposed to be online so that\'s a plus.
Thank god Metroid looks promising.
And they\'d better show Too Human and Perfect Dark 2...

Realtime tech-demo. Big difference.

Tech-demos are nothing. Do you know the first replay movie of "The next GT" with the pink car? Tech demos are just advertising and I don\'t care.

Tech-demos are nothing.
Yes they are. :) They show off what a system is capable of.
*fells stupid for explaining a painfully obvious fact*
-
How could Nintendo just scrap the tech demo when it looked so good.I don\'t understand

The detail was amazing there was bump-mapping on the sword and real-time lighting.I could only hope that the final version of the new Zelda looks just as good.I\'m pretty sure gameplay will be good though :)
