I really need to see a vid; because this shot PISSES me off greatly. Actually, I am pissed and intrigued at the same time. On one hand this is the best cel shading I have EVER seen and on the other hand, I was expecting that awesome Zelda from Spaceworld 2000.

Looks like a Hi-Res Mario 64. I am not impressed. I need more details(and they better be good details.)
I am SOOO pissed at Nintendo right now.

Zelda looks like a bad Saturday morning cartoon. Link looks retarded. God dammit. That shot REALLY pisses me off too.
And what the hell is with Mario? He looks like he is on dope. He looks pretty CG-ish though, I guess that\'s the only plus in that shot.
I think it\'s time that Miyamoto retired, seriously. :( He\'s losing it, fast.
I am also so unbelievably pissed at Nintendo right now. They **** up their best franchise. I\'m not the least bit worried about Mario because I know it will be a spectacular game, but god dammit Zelda is the best franchise in existence and now Nintendo recked it. :(
Too Human just got into my top three most wanted list now that Zelda is out of the picture...:(

By the looks of it, they are taking link back to his roots...sure it may look cartoonish, but i can gurantee you its gameplay will rock your ass. Get over the fricken graphics, and wait for the gameplay dude.
Miyamoto isnt about making games for the masses, trying to get everyone buying it for its pretty graphics and such. He has always been about the innovation and the art.
i cant believe me and Jumpy are like...completely opposite of what we usually are.

Since when was Link a fag? He never looked like this. He carry around a cool ass shield and sword all the time. Now his shield looks gay and his sword is dinky. Give me the Zelda tech-demo style Link ANY day.

Yeah we know, it\'s Zelda. But it still looks completely gay, too gay. I could live with an anime style, but this is just ridiculous. Miyamoto doesn\'t realize that most Zelda will not like this one bit. I hope he completely redesigned the game because this is just unacceptable for me.
Die Miyamoto, die. Give back Zelda to the lead producer of Majora\'s Mask, he had mad skillz, and he wasn\'t retarded. :(

It looks gay. I\'m not even going to rent the thing unless it get\'s extremely high reviews, latleast a 9.6 from IGN. I\'m not buying it, that\'s for sure.

I can\'t believe what you are saying Jumpman. I think this new Zelda game looks very cool and original. The graphics style really does look like a very detailed cartoon. :) I can\'t wait to see this in motion.

At first glance, I was shocked that someone would even think about destroying that artistic form present in Ocarina of Time. However, after thinking about it for awhile, this picture is cause for excitement. In my personal opinion, Zelda is at its best in a 2D world from a top-down perspective, a\'la, the Oracle series on the GBC. Basically what I\'m saying is, this look faithfully captures that same style while still remaining an excellent looking 3D adventure game.

Admit it, the Zelda games have always been a bit cartoony in their own right. Like when Link falls down a hole, waits, and then looks up before falling to his doom and reappearing on-screen. The same goes for the enemies. When you nail them, they don\'t really grimace in pain, but rather look dazed in some cartoon fashion before falling to their knees. This look can be faithfully kept with this artistic style. At least I think it can.
Would I prefer what we saw at Spaceworld 2K instead of what we see here? Sure, but in no way am I dissapointed in what I have seen so far. Zelda is a comical adventure game with some odd unbelievable elements and the more serious and real the game gets, the more it loses that tone, which is of course, what made it great in the first place. Just my 2 cents.

Too bad they are following a trend this time. There has been a huge amount of cel shaded games coming out lately and now Nintendo just joined the group with Zelda .
I can\'t even tell if Link is a boy or a girl and well, its a cel shaded ZELDA!
1: Metriod being screwed over as a lame FPS .. I mean, shooting giant insects?
2: Zelda cel-shaded and looking terrible.
I won\'t say it will be lame (I will say Metriod will be lame though!). Who knows how it will play . I\'ll give it a try but I can also say I am nor excited nor impressed.

After downloading the movie of the game, I am actually somewhat interested and impressed. I still think Link himself looks like crap, but the game itself looks very sweet.
Not terrible and somewhat exciting.
Though, I maintain the Link design needs massive work.

I downloaded the movie, and it was interesting. It wasn’t crap, but it wasn’t too head turning IMO.

This better be a different Zelda than what was shown as E3...I don\'t doubt the gameplay, but that\'s got to be the most hideous looking game I\'ve ever seen.

Holy Shot! My god what the hell did Nintendo do?? Im not a Nintendo fan but that doesn\'t stop me from appreciating a good game or game art. That Link looks like total ****!! Bad move that one at E3 looked incredible.....I don\'t know what the hell they are thinkin.

Hey gohan when I saw this thread topic I knew you were talking about zelda. I think this is one of the biggest disappointment ever. Mario just looks okay graphically. Hmmmmmm......that xbox is starting to look real good. Oh yeah I forgot gamecube got delay til Nov. 18, 2001.

Oh Nintendo...Nintendo...Nintendo...Why? Why? Why? Just stick to what\'s been going well. Why make a change? Really I don\'t mind change but damn! Who is that person in the screenshot? Especially after you have people salivating over screenshots from last year. What a disappointment! I don\'t doubt the game will be any good but again.....damn. Who is that person? I guess Nintendo likes to remind us all that were all children at heart.
That "person" in that screenshot looks like he was taken from a Saturday morning cartoon from the 80\'s that didn\'t make it.

I\'m over the cel-shading look now. If they can actually make this game into a live cartoon with better Zelda style gameplay, then I\'m in. :) Still would of liked the realistic style more but in the end it\'s still Zelda and that\'s all that counts. I\'ll be higly interested in this game again only if they change Link\'s design...god he looks like a penis.

I\'m sure Myaimoto might change the design but not by much.Anyway it\'ll fun but a little to kiddy for most people.I have just about every Zelda game, I think I\'ll get this one too.:D
