IGN oficial news story (http://cube.ign.com/news/37668.html)
As with Soul Calibur 2, Metriod on GameCube suffered a horrible case of the old Nintendo tease at today`s press conference. Inserted within a video roll highlighting upcoming GameCube games, the footage of Metroid lasted a mere six seconds, long enough for us to realize what was being shown, but not long enough for us to really get a grasp of the game.
You can download the short clip below. The clip features a third person sequence followed by a few first person sequences. Hopefully, Nintendo will be able to share more details with us during the course of the show.
Metriod in action (http://cubemovies.ign.com/media/space2k1/pressmovies/metroid.mov) Only .9mb
Its small but it is beautiful. Although I would prefer a side Scroller.
Anoop\'s has alot to do with SpaceWorld (http://cube.ign.com/news/37668.html)

The game is absolutely gorgeous. The lighting is spectacular, the walls look CG quality and are incredibly detailed, the dark corridors make it retain some of it\'s classic feels, I love it. I never doubted that Retro had some serious talent and could make Metroid into a great game. Awesome.

Yes, the game looks excellent... is it a launch game?

No it\'s not, but it looks to be a great FPS, aimed at an older audience
