Brief: Namco plans to reveal some high-profile support for the Xbox next week.

Nintendo recently shook the gaming industry with their announcements at the Space World show currently going on in Japan, but Microsoft doesn’t plan to be ignored; they still have a few aces up their sleeve. Gaming Age has received confirmation from an extremely reliable source that next week at the conference, Namco and Microsoft will announce that Ridge Racer 6, Soul Calibur 2 and Dead to Rights are all headed toward the Xbox.
In addition to that, while Dead to Rights was first shown running on the PlayStation 2 at this past E3, Namco will instead keep the title exclusively on Xbox for a certain amount of time. How long that is isn’t known, but if it is anything like the rumored time frame Microsoft struck with Tecmo on Dead or Alive 3, it won’t be too long until the PlayStation 2 receives the game.
Beyond Ridge Racer 6, Soul Calibur 2 and Dead to Rights, Namco may or may not reveal more of their Xbox projects at the conference. If this is an indication of what Microsoft has been hiding all this time, our expectations for the Xbox\'s success in Japan have been increased ten fold. We\'ll keep you posted as we learn more.
This is some of the best news I heard all year. I"m still recovering from that horrible spaceworld too. Check it out xbox is getting dead to rights excuisitly for awhile too. Xbox is going to be around a long time.:)

Not so thrilled about SC2 being on Xbox. But Dead to Rights and Ridge Racer 6 I\'m thrilled.:rolleyes:

I am sticking with my PS2 for a while. :) There is not enough on the Xbox to make me want it yet.

OK Tell me how was dead to rights shown on ps2 but is going to be exclusive to xbox for a while. How can they just change all of sudden like that? It was supose to come out on ps2 first. Oh well I be getting xbox and I guess I have it on xbox then.

Damn, I was planing on buying Dead to Rights for PS2,but since it\'s exclusive to Xbox for a while I guess I won\'t be getting it for a while.I don\'t plan on getting a Xbox just yet.PS2 is what I\'m focused on right now.Does anyone know if the Ridge Racer game is for PS2 to?

GAMES don\'t worry when namco annoucned their ps2 games for there fiecscal year march 2002. They had 12 games up there tekken 4, SC2, Moto gp 2, time crisis 2, RR6, Dead to Rights, Xenosaga, and 4 unknown games at the time. SO ps2 is getting rr6, dead to right, and sc2.:) :)

As well as confirming Gamecube support, the Japanese giants announced a definitive list of 12 PS2 titles
The titles are;
Tekken 4
Soul Calibur 2
Ace Combat 4
Tennis Game (unnamed)
Baseball Game (unnamed)
Soccer Game (unnamed)
Vampire Night
Tales of X (with Telenet)
Mr. Driller: New Work
New Ridge Racer (unnamed)
New Moto GP (unnamed)
Massive RPG (unnamed)
Yes, that\'s right. The highlight is definitely a vicious double whammy of Grade-A beaters. A proper sequel to Tekken 3 AND more of the best weapons-based combat the world has ever seen. Not to mention a brand new Ridge Racer!

Well the only thing that aggrvates me is I want to buy an Xbox to play games I cannot get on the PS2.
I would so much rather Xbox be getting some exclusive games instead of ports or temp exclusives (must be an MS thing)
I\'m still wanting an Xbox to play the console games that some of the top notch PC developers come up with. Of course there are other exclusive games at well, but this was my main reason

Xbox has a few stand out exclusives like dino crisis 3, doa3, mad dash, the hunter, halo, oddworld, project gothem, and black box(from capcom). I think the system ought to do well. :thepimp:
