Run Like Hell Jogs a New Path
Interplay changes its survival-horror game to a more fast-paced action game.
August 27, 2001
Interplay recently informed IGNPS2 that Run Like Hell, its year-old survival horror game, is transforming into an action-based game.
Producer Travis L. Williams explains: "Since E3, Run Like Hell has taken a more action-oriented path. We are focusing on making the action element of Run Like Hell more immersive & enjoyable than it was before. Run Like Hell started as a survival horror game. However, everyone found the pacing of a Survival Horror game to be too slow. The creatures that you have to face in Run Like Hell move a little too fast for you to have the typical Survival Horror control scheme. These changes are pretty fundamental to the way Run Like Hell works and it will no doubt take us to the end of the year to accomplish.
"Don\'t worry though. I am sure everyone wants a good game, and not just a finished one."
Interplay added that Run Like Hell is now due for Q1-Q2 2002.
