Im a virgin on this site so wo not take it a gear up by posting about possibly the best PS2 title coming this year?
Anyway... Silent hill(the original) is chairing the number one spot for best game ever next to FFVII. At least for me that is.
So no wonder Im excited about the sequel then, is it?
Killer grapics, Creepy design, Shocking "music", IQ smashing plot and the best atmosphere ever was in the original Silent hill and the whole package seems to be multiplied by 10 with the sequel.
Will this be the first PS2 game scoring 10/10 in official PS2 magazine? Probably since GT3 got 9/10...
Yes ladies and gentlemen this game is THAT good.
Anybody interested then? Any thoughts?

I\'m interested!I think SH2 is going to be very very good .I\'ve been wanting the game since the first day I saw it.MGS2 and J&D are also my mosted games.

I had some seriously problem with SH. I was scared, really freaked out. SH2 is one of many games that I really must have.

There actually is a Silent Hill advance. It includes CG and everything. Here\'s the catch- it\'s only out in Japan, and it\'s an actionless choose your own adventure novel. You won\'t be able to play if you don\'t read kanji

I just found out something extremely cool(for PAL owners that is).
Silent hill 2 will come out in two versions in europe.
The standard one and a limited version one with a special cover and a bonus DVD disc containing "The making of Silent hill 2".
If you dont believe me head over to IGNs PS2 PAL board for the breaking news and some links to some sites taking pre-orders of both versions(though they are in swedish).

shame on me that i couldnt see past the graphics to play part 1...i couldnt stand the frame rate and the horrible resolution...
but i did play the demo and i was spooked to hell....
i thought that scene at the beginning when you chase the lil girl down to the alley and the camera goes upside down was amazing.....but the lil kids that comeout after that would tick me off cause they didnt make any noise...no footsteps or crying or thumps or atleast a sign that i was being slashed by their sharp knives....i hope the real game fixed that problem cause a key factor in horror is the audio....
however, i cant wait for part 2....its looking phenominal.

Silent hills most recognised feature was in fact the audio...
Silent hill 2 is the game to pioner Sonys new S-technology which means that you will have surround sound out of two speakers.
And it aint your common "Virtual surround" **** either because every journalist who have tested it sais that it, surprisingly, actually works to!
In Official PS2 magazine UK they give scores to different parts about upcoming PS2 games in their previews and Silent hill 2 scored full house when it came to sound(it scored full house on rest of the areas too!!!)
They said that this game would most likely set a new benchmark for psycological horror games...
