Title: Justice Department is breaking up Microsoft….

Justice Department is breaking Microsoft….
A new case of champagne that is.

Ineffective government,
The government of the people for the people my azz.
One administration crucifies MS for monopolistic behavior,
While a new administration lets them off,… what was the point of wasting tax-payer money For that?

Why do politicians even bother to get up in the morning? Why don’t they pay themselves their income, and take money from special interest groups behind closed doors? And spend the rest of the day at a country golf club somewhere. I have more respect for a crack-dealer or pimp then I have for any politician. At least a pimp/dealer does his work for the pure benefit of making money for himself. Politicians disguise their intentions by implying that their constituents want things done in a certain way. Right, pigs fly.  Look there goes one now.

On the bad side this shows pointless waste and ineffeciency of our legal system.

On the good side this shows how much power the people hold in being able to have this much affect on the country.  We did elect Bush after all.  And 4 years later we could put someone else with a totally different agenda in the Whitehouse.

The whole thing just put a sour taste in my mouth.  I mean I\'ve come to  resent everything Bill Gates does, but on the other hand if the government has the power to tell him what he can do with his business, what can they tell me to do with mine?

This whole thing would just be solved if everyone just said told Gates to go to hell.  His .net strategy is just like everything else they have, aimed to take over the world.

I can\'t talk about this anymore cause I get mad

I wouldn\'t mind MS\'s practices if they were going against 2-3 serious competitors, but who is left to threaten MS in a serious way? :(

I think competition is good for the consumer, it keeps software vendors somewhat honest. Gives us better products and cheaper ones.

My predictions for the future:

In 2005, Microsoft is NOT the leading OS maker any more.  People eventually get sick of all their BS which gives the little guys out there a chance to break into the industry.  Macintosh computers are half of the computers out there, and the majority of IBM compatibles are using Linux or a new OS that was made by the little guys.

Remember what I said, because I really think it will be right. :)

I don\'t think linux will be the OS of choice but maybe some little guy out there will come up with a windows like OS but improving on all it\'s weaknesses or whatever. I just can\'t see everyone using linux.

I hope someone does beat them at their own game,
but who would want to? and who would have the necessary $$$ to compete with them?
If M$ feels threatened they will sell their OS for $20 or better yet they will just give it away for free. :sconf: I wish HP/IBM would develop a window like OS,... ;)

HP has HP-UNIX.  Linux has a chance to overtake Windows, but it just needs to be a little more user-friendly.  And Microsoft would never, and the Emperor means never give anything away for free.

QuDDus -
Did you create the pic under your name, if so with what.  I know it\'s the "norm" to be able to do that type of thing, but I still need to learn a thing or two.

I have PowerPoint. Thats really the only thing I have that might work.

If I did spend 5-6 hundred on adobe i wouldn\'t know how to use it so what\'s the point?
