Thank you,
No words will ever bring her back, but if more people open their minds and eyes, ... Maybe this won\'t happen to anyones mother, daughter, husband, wife, child.

Calm down, Toxie. You don\'t have to like Bush, but he\'s our leader and lets do what we can to help get the job done. Now is not the time to question him or his authority. He IS right. We were all shocked and hurt initially, but we will get over it and it will make us stronger.
The intent was to give Americans a message to make us live in fear. If you give in to fear and begin to question everything then they have won.
Sorry about your cousin\'s wife. You\'re in my prayers, bro.

Thanks EmperorRob,
it\'s just that i keep hearing people talk, and talk,
and they never really change much, i don\'t hate Bush,
I\'m just pissed, maybe i\'m just talking because i don\'t know what else to do... i feel like a 2 month old baby, and every time i watch that stupid plane crash into that building it scares the sh!t out of me.

What did you want him to say? "We have decided to nuke the rest of the world so we won\'t have any problems anymore?" I think that he said all that he could really. He feels bad for what happened, and he wants justice as much as you do, but he can\'t until he knows who did it. Like EmperorRob said, he is your president. You should support him in all his decisions.
Edit: some things quoting Toxical were deleted
Toxical, everything will get better in time. It might be hard at first for your cousin, for you, and for your whole family, but it will get better. You will be in my prayers too.

He\'s the prez... duh.... :(

Tox, I\'m sorry to hear about your consins loss, but Bush said absolutely nothing wrong. Before his speech, I thought he was a complete moron. But his speech was just perfect. He said all the right things. That had to be one of the biggest speeches in American history and he executed it without a flaw. Give him the credit he deserves.

Thanks guys,
i delete the stuff,
it won\'t helpy anyone anyway... just my anger talking.

 i thought bushes speech was pretty good, if i was in his shoes i would do terrible:confused:

"A great people has been moved to defend a great nation."
Spoken by our president. I think you\'ll eventually see these words in history books in the years to come. The comparisons that have been drawn to Pearl Harbor have been many, but none so impactful as, just like sixty years ago, we have been bloodied, and just like sixty years ago, instead of scaring the American people into submission, you anger us, you cause us grief, you draw us only closer to one another, you reinforce our will and resolve, you hit us, we will only get stronger. When I saw the Congress singing "God Bless America", it was heartrending, and you could see the partisan squabbles of the year past disappear, they have become insignificant in their eyes and ours. We have an enemy out there who does not have remorse. Who it is we cannot be certain, but the most powerful nation in history has been provoked, and mark my words, the scum who perpetrated this catastrophe will we discovered and destroyed. In the future we will not see this only as a day of terror and death, but one of American resolve, the turning point that will give us cause to avenge the innocents lost. We will tell our grandchildren of this day someday, and we will tell them how frightening it was, but also that it galvanized this great nation to take action against those who are bold and evil enough to do something like this. And I believe President Bush and his staff are more than capable of bringing us justice and closure, if such a thing is possible, to this tragedy.
God bless America, my home sweet home.

I fear that Bush soon will launch a full scale attack upon Afganistan..
Alot of civlians will be killed..
Thats EXACLY what the terriorists want..
They want USA to kill civlians so the terrorits can strike back again..
Maybe even harder??
Bush has to think this through.. And he must get Afganistan to surrender Usama Bin Laden..
It is not nessesery to kill even more civlians.. If he does that, Bush and America is no better than the terriorists..
And its likely that the rest of the world will stop supporting USA, if this gets out of hand..
Most of this has already been said on TV.. (SVT24 by some swedish Terrorist expert hotshot!)
-
fast, consider a few things:
1. We have, for years, tried to convince Afghanistan to surrender bin Laden, and for years they refused. That makes them just as responsible.
2. As evidenced yesterday, it doesn\'t matter if we kill civvies or not, terrorists need no reason to cause destruction.
I believe bin Laden is the perpetrator, and if that is the case, we should give the Taliban 48 hours to surrender the bastard, and if that doesn\'t happen, praise the Lord and pass the ammunition. We will not go out of our way to kill civilians as these terrorists did yesterday, and they will have plenty of advance warning, unlike the thousands and thousands of dead in New York and DC.
Whatever you think of America or Bush right now, it was as he said, this was not an attack against the United States but against freedom. Bill Clinton did a terribly efficient job of weakening our military over the last 8 years. Now it is time to rebuild and answer back. We\'ve let bin Laden get away with murder three times. It\'s time to collect on that bastard. Let\'s keep him from making a fifth tragedy.

Yeah, Bush has a good speech writer. :)
-
It looks like Afganistan is ready to surrender Bin Laden.. (YAY!!!!)
IF United States have real proof..
Here comes the real good news!
And Ive just heard that British, French, German and Israels secret police can link Usama bin Laden to the attack!!
Now lets hope Afganistan keeps there promisse! (which I doubt! :( )
And we might have Usama..
If they dont..
Well I have no good solution.. really..
War is not an option (IMHO!)

I think Bush did the best he possibly could in a situation that is as worse as possible. The goals of the President addressing the nation was not to answer all the questions but to:
1) Reassure and show sympathy toward the American people=nicely done.
2) Show that the present is in the U.S. and not hiding somewhere in a secure bunker. What would the people have thought then? The end of the world probably.
The President\'s speech may have been lacking in imformation but it was what was behind the words which was important.
-
Toxical, I do not know what to write...
I´m so sorry for you !
-
bush did a great job IMO... now i hope we bomb the hell outta whoever because they are sick people... to actualy support terrorism...
-
I watched his speach, and I think it was good.
He was both sad and strong, he showed everyone that he was saddened by what has happened and he showed no signs of fear and told the people in no unsertain terms that they would get justice, no matter what. And he did it calmly and he took his time.
I know that his speach writer was probly working overtime, but I think he performed like a champ.
-
I also think the goverment did quite well , Bush and his staff. They did not overreact though there was surely pressure on him from various sides.
Also , I like to express my respect for the American and New York people, who will not let bring them down and who will stand up even stronger. That`s great attitude.
