Title: Do you think the terrorist attack will effect CHOGM?

For anyone that doesnt know, there is a massive meeting of Commonwealth Heads Of State in Brisbane in OCT 2001, and I am concerned that these attacks could create a problem in Brisbane. There is already speculation that there will be terrorists in Brisbane throughout OCT. Australian Special Forces state that they may even have FBI forces in Brisbane for the event. But what if they are held up in the US?

I think this is a very frightning thought. All these world leaders in one place, with tens of thousands of demonstraters barracaded outside the building. Look up CHOGM on any search engine, and see all the hate sites about the event. Scary.

It is an accident waiting to happen...

yes but  after i had posted i realised that it could be tacked another way like i dont care in general as in fact i do care so i thought i should add to it ok

But I am serious. This is a major concern for me, considering the amount of powerful leaders there will be in the one place at the one time, the queen, Tony Blair, Kofi Anan, just to name a few.

It is freaky.

I hope the police/army ... don\'t go overboard and kill some protestors, because i think they have a right to protest.

There will always be protesters.  Just like what happened in Seattle last year.

Sorted out by then?  This is going to take a VERY long time.  We are not just going after one terrorist.  You may want to watch the news.  All of these allies are getting together to rid the world of terrorists.  Obviously that will never be done, but they are seriously going to make a statement to all known terrorists.  They are talking that this may last for more than a year.
