This is about the WTC thing right?  Hmm, why would that affect the release of MGS2?!  Is this an excuse for him to buy more time ^^?

Well, I think it would help if they leave the WTC still standing in the background.

This is so dumb. Its just a game. If they make changes, in a videogame, because of something that happened in real life...Its just not needed.

This is a game.
Do they think terrorist will use MGS2 to train their minions??????
Why don\'t they look at other things influencing and giving people nightmares instead of a video game.

I gotta completley agree with you guys on this one. People need to stop being so sensitive about these types of things people will remember that horrible day wether they see it in a videogame or not.

you all forget the media issues here. If MGS2 is about Terrorism in NYC the parallels and simularities will draw negative press.

This is a much more sensitive issue then some of you seem to believe, and you can bet the reprocussions from this event haven\'t even started.

Konami has to be sensitive for the added reason that they are Japanese, and sending this game about terrorism in NYC may be misconstrude by a solid portion of the American public

Its a friggin videogame, and in comparison to what has happened recently it means nothing.

Konami has to be sensitive, and the rest of us just need to understand. THIS IS A VERY SENSITIVE ISSUUE

GUYS !!!!!!
don\'t let this sh!t happen,
M$ might delete the twin towers from their flight sim, but why?
What\'s next, congress will ban video games???? siting realistic/violent content as training simulators for terrorist??
Are you guys going to let a bunch of goat-fu@kers and old men in congress tell you what is good for you or dictate views to you?

Well i understand the reason why they are checking into this and all but i still dont agree with the fact of a delay

i mean come on its a game and if the media can show tons of video of the plane crashing and people jumping 100 floors to their death - then a videogame should be able to show terrorists

i mean its a game and the other is real life - there is quite a difference

hmmm... I realy don´t know what to say...
I love the game ! But to look at it and see the Twin Towers in the background... I realy don´t know...
We don´t know much about the game. Maybe there are parts of it playing in or near the WTC ?! Maybe they just delay the game until the dust lies down... it´s a form of respect !
Title: Its just a game

The movie is not \'canned\', it\'s been postponed in light of what\'s happened.  It\'s pretty likely the same will happen with MGS2 and a number of other games, but it\'s not been confirmed yet,.

And out of respect for those victims of this tragedy, we should just stop *****ing about delays and we should instead stop to appreciate what we haven\'t lost and what we haven\'t had to give up.  There are worse things, that much is certain.

although i agree with Antiquity,  i dont think complaining about delays is hurting anyone..i am thankful that nothing happened to my city and or my family,  but it still upsets me that these type of events will get games and movies delayed or altered..which is pathetic because they show worst things in the news,  over and over again.....

Your a dumbass, for one microsoft is getting rid of them because they feel its right, they have a heart unlike you selfish assholes, and how is congress dictating anything with games, its the game makers that are changing everything, stop being so selfish, countless people died and all you can think about is how games are getting changed:rolleyes:

I never said they are at this moment, but they might. Stranger sh!t has transpired. I\'m not selfish, i\'m pointing out things that seem overboard...

Absolutely nothing seems overboard in light of what has happen

Obviously you can not come to terms with what has happened and what our future holds

If you think the latest events were horrible, there is a pretty damn good chance the real horror has  just begun.

What\'s even sadder is the inability for some of you to just sit back and stop *****ing about petty **** like the delay of a video game 2 days after a horrific event

the possible delay shouldn\'t even be a concern of yours at this moment

It is nearly impossible for me to recognize just how very pervasively this tragedy has affected me (and I can promise I will *not* fight with anyone on this forum that would like to argue otherwise)...but I know it has, and that its effect is deep and permanent.  However, MGS2 is a videogame...pure and simple.  Yet, in its conception it could be, today, more than its creators might have had reason to initially realize.

Konami is ditching out by postponing the release of MGS2.  What\'s total pussy-bull**** about this is that America is at a uniquely all-time high in its desire to smash the living **** out of terrorists!!!  So why not give them a videogame that would let them do it virtually, if in no other way???!!!  We have a society that, all the way up to the very President, says, "Take every terrorist mother-****er out!"...and the company that would give us the outlet that our psyche cries for says, "Let\'s wait a bit"  WTF!?!  Are they catering to the children???  Sorry, I\'m 36 and MGS2 has a "M" rating...so I don\'t buy that argument either.  Come on, Konami!!!  Give me my chance to release my anger!!!!!!!!!!     :boom:

Well, it\'s supposed to be a free country. That would pretty much be compromised if they were to ban certain videogames IMO.

Im not suprised this happend. But Im not shocked or dissapoint either. I live in europe so will the european release be affected? Think not! I\'m getting it for my import anyway :D

but it is bad news for sony, now their crowd puller has been removed close from xboxs launch. It will hurt thme seriously!
