I was surprised how much this thread grew in just one night of sleep. I stared the thread and there was probably about 3 posts, then I went to sleep and woke up and there was 3 pages, now thats amazing. But come on guys did we really need all the foul language? Probably not. But on the good side I really enjoyed reading this thread probably because of the curseing so it really doesn\'t matter.

Actually I\'m getting all consoles.... Xbox and GameCube both.... But it\'s the one I get first is the key..
Nintendo\'s games are looking boring... I mean.... well you know....
Xbox\'s games are just more of the same.... DOA3 I mean..... and graphics aren\'t everything, a lot of the games on Xbox are games that are already been played - or more of the same.

Probably not. But on the good side I really enjoyed reading this thread probably because of the curseing so it really doesn\'t matter.
Jumpman, I noticed that you do nothing but put people down and why? To get a good laugh and say meaningless things like "are quite unimpressive" ,"way to go retard" and my personal fav "you are not on my level". I mean what is that? You prove nothing but ignorence when you do this. Do me a favor and keep the insults on the down low.
Don\'t Jump on Jumpman for this (no pun intended ;)). He just posted his impressions of the game like I requested, and others jumped on his back for it. He dragged the argument on, but he was not the one who started it.

That\'s the way of the world. As things move into the background, the hazer they get. It\'s a fact. Nothing is as clear to you 50 miles away as the thing that is 50 feet away. You can see everything in the background... Just like Rogue Squadron 2, the elements do not clear up until you close your distance to the object, that is how it is in the real world. Unless I am mistaken and you are referring to the graphics overall and not the draw distance.
Nope, I\'m reffering to the draw-distance.
The problem is that the horizon gets blurry too fast. You can actually see the line where it gets all gray and kind of foggy. I mean, the world shouldn\'t look that way. I can walk out-side and look down my street and it won\'t get all blurry and gray like it does in J&D(same distance approximately). I just don\'t want to have everything changing to blurry to normal all the time. It would definitely bother me.
What is this, gang up on Jumpman\'s opinion day?
It\'s always that way in the main forum, and usually the same people are involved.
This is not necessary and you know it. If they flame you, back away, don\'t respond with more insults. You know it doesn\'t get you anywhere and it moves the entire post into the forum category known as garbage. Please, I know you can be civil, lets see if we can have that Jumpman present at these forums more often, ok?

Ryu, you are now one of my favorite postman here on the forums!:D . But the reason I chose to point out Jumpman instead of Raslant was because Jumpman does it so much more than any one to point were it\'s not funny anymore. And, yeah Raslant could have kept the bashing to the minimum, but Jumpman could get annoying sometimes but like you said it is his opinion so I\'ll respect that. But Ryu you can also keep the anger down aswell. :D

The reason I got pissed off was because of how many threads this has been where the same people involved are the ones, again, responsible. How many threads need to be ruined so this trash can get sorted out? People just need to cool off and show a little bit more respect for others. When they start doing that, I\'ll respect them moreso. Until then, they are going to remain as trolls in my mind.

i was just annoyed with all the names people called eachother in this thread. i think if people tried to not insult eachother when they disagreed, there would be much less flaming.

Now, I know you and raslant are buddies for some unknown reason, but you have to look at this objectively.
I respond to falcon\'s post. raslant responds to mine and doesn\'t make sense. I tell him to read it over voice and he insults me and still does not understand what\'s going on with the initial topic. I insult him back and he continues to dodge the initial topic and continues to insult me and this continues intul the ignorant brat goes off-line(there\'s no denying that\'s he a little brat). If he wants some respect from me then he better stop actig like a moron all the time. This happened before, all with the same beginning. Raslant refuses to use logic and just wants to insult me like a 4th grader. I don\'t do it anymore than he does. In fact, I remember you doing the same in a thread awhile ago. Instead of debating the initial argument you insult me and basically say "Nintendo sucks and Sony rulez". What\'s yoor explanation for that?

Yeah, I know has I was but I\'m a change man. I admit I was a pain in the a$$ some times but thats behind me know. Yes, Raslant is my favorite post guy at the moment because we usually agree on most thing and he seems pretty cool, but he has his moment as does everybody. Heck, I could remember when you were my favorite postman Jumpman, You always used to crack me up , but you attitude towards me and others changed all that. I have no beaf with the Big N or any console as a matter of fact so like I said I\'m a changed man.

You\'re right about it...and sure you are free to express your opinion and if you are not impressed by this game...well...there\'s no problem...it\'s your opinion...and people should learn to accept it or at least to debate in a nice and constructive way...

This is a PS2-forum, of course most people that doesn´t support the PS2 will get a hard time if they are against the PS2. That is not strange, look at the teamxbox forum, thats hell, flamewar is a daily thing there every day.
Most people here in this forum is here because they want to talk with people that have the same interests as them self.

Um...I don\'t know what I\'m supposed to say now. When I respond, everyone will be like "Way to express your opinion Jumpman!" and it feels a little akward voicing my opinion infront of everyone but what the hell.
Jumpman\'s opinion on Jak And Dexter. Writen by the man himself, Jumpman.
A lot of PS2 fans are extremely interested in this game for numerous valid reasons. It\'s the first true 3D platformer. The Crash series, in my opinion, since the progression is more linear instead of being able to go where ever you want, it\'s like your on tracks. Naturally, PS2 fans are wowed by this concept. But for me it\'s already been done, many times might I add.
In Mario 64, a game released 5 years ago, you could do almost the same. The only, and I mean only difference is that there were magical paintings that were the entrance of each level. All of them were connected by the castle. The Mario castle concept with connected every level was a popular one. Banjo-Kazooie and Sonic Adventure both improved upon it but you could easily tell where they borrowed from it. Jak And Dexter looks to do the same. The only difference is now your always out-side in one big level. Revolutionary? Hardly, just the power of a next-gen console. It\'s still the Mario 64 concept in the end. You know there\'s going to be one or two main parts which connects all the levels and worlds. ND just took longer to try it out.
Secondly, the gameplay looks dull IMO. Jump, figure out puzzle, punch, been there done that. I see nothing new in the gameplay so far. And quite frankly I\'m getting bored with platformers. A month ago I rented Banjo-Tooie and found it to be very disapointing. It was a good game, yes, but I\'ve already experienced it before. The first was the best platformer ever, but it just wasn\'t the same. I\'m in no current mood to do the same with J&D.
Lastly, the graphics, are a none issue for me. It looks great for a PS2 game, but there are simply better looking games elsewhere. RL, Kameo, Halo, EGO, RE1 remake, Munch, etc. The graphics are a none issue with me though. I really don\'t care about them but nonetheless this game\'s graphics do not impress me a bit.
It should also be noted, that I do not care if ND is making the game contrary to other\'s beliefs; it still looks boring IMHO. The Crash series may of been a sorry excuse for a platform game but I won\'t hold it against them and it still wouldn\'t matter in the end.
Yeah so that\'s my opinion on why I\'m not interested in the game. Word.

I understand what you are saying Jumpman. I also hate platformers. They got very boring right after Mario 64. I think what made them boring is that all platformers after that were almost identicle.
I really don\'t know why I am looking forward to this game so much. Maybe it\'s the hype. Maybe it\'s because a game is finally using the PS2 the way it was meant to be used, and I don\'t want to pass up the opportunity to see the PS2\'s true power (for all we know, a game using the PS2\'s true power might be more rare than a Army Men game getting good reviews. :)) It could be the amazing animation (so, so, beautiful), or the nice draw distances. Whatever it is, I hope it brings my love for platformers back again.
