In an exclusive interview with PSX Nation, Jason Rubin of Naughty Dog confirms that new features have been implemented to their upcoming hit...

With the release of the new "Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy" trailer, concerns were raised about whether or not the final build of the game will in fact feature real time shadows and lighting effects.
So, earlier today, I contacted Jason Rubin of Naughty Dog, and asked him the simple question of whether or not it would. Here, was his response...
"Steve,
Let me set your mind at ease: "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy" does indeed feature real time shadows in the build we are currently playing at our offices.
Jason Rubin
Naughty Dog"
So there you have it folks. Naughty Dog does indeed rock, and they are obviously well in tune with todays general gaming public. Although it is hard to imagine this game looking any better than its current state, this confirmation re-assures that "Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy" will be one of the most graphically advanced titles on the PS2 when it\'s released this Fall. I should hopefully be adding some new shots to this article showing this feature in action later today.
More improvements!! ;)

I noticed that in the movie that was posted here a couple days ago. I\'m glad they fixed it.

It wasn\'t even a fix persay. ND said awhile back that Shadows and water effects would be added, and mip mapping / enviroment mapping would be implemented depending on time restraints
