After they clear away the rubble and everything, who thinks the WTC should be rebuilt? Also, what do you think it should look like?
I say it should be even HIGHER than the original WTC and be built a little stronger to withstand this type of attack.
Maybe three towers instead of two would be awesome too, just to show the terrorists how powerful and rich we are, that we can just build skyscrapers at any time we feel like it.

Make the third one in the middle, and much higher than the others. That way, it will be like a middle finger telling you terrorist creeps TO GO FLUCK YOURSELF.

Realistically, though, I\'m thinking they should build one huge building that covers the entire area where World Trade Center 1-6 once were. And the air force can make its headquarters the top several stories. :shy:

They\'ve already said that they will rebuild the towers.

They have to rebuild the towers. If for no other reason than they absolutely need the office space in that district.
They can always put a memorial on the property as well. To waste blocks of property for a memorial is just stupid. At least in that location it\'s stupid. In oklahoma city it\'s a different story. They will rebuild.

They should make it a memorial ground for those that died.
Building them the same height or even higher will just make them easy targets again. Besides, by the time they clear the site & rebuild, a lot of the companies would have probably relocated, & whose going to want to work high up in them towers now?

All of the buildings in NYC are tall. We should just clear all the buildings out and relocate NYC. Gimme a break. People should live in fear. This is why we are going to war.
This is the financial district for the entire country and pretty much the world. How can you relocate? Get those damn towers back up there!!!!

Who said anything about relocating NYC? All I said is that some of the companies who were in the WTC will probably relocate before the towers could be rebuilt. You expect these companies to wait? I don\'t think so......

Boy this thread sounds familiar. Oh yeah, now I remember. I did a thread just like it. Hey and the title was the same too. Coincidence? They will definitly will be rebuilt. They need another place for the world to trade.

Bryant Gumbel mentioned a good idea on Letterman, build the buildings exactly where they were and how they were, but don\'t put any floors or anything inside them. Just build the outside sorta as a memorial and a little "F U" to Bin Ladin ( Gumbel actually put his hands up like he was gonna give the finger, it was pretty cool). I doubt this would happen, but it\'s a good idea if they\'re afraid to put people in them.

That\'s not a bad idea. Any terrorist who bombs it would feel really stupid when they find out it\'s empty. But wouldn\'t it topple over if it has nothing in it during a really bad storm?

they wil be rebuilt in the same place... and proabably look cooler, but it will take bout a year to build them back up again. plus the clean up efforts..
and i doubt that a terrorist group would do the same exact thing again. they will find their own way. air control will be highly guarded.
i have heard that somthing may happen this saturday. because the terroristy suspects may have had a backup plan that they may put into action as well, but maybe they will use truck bombs and car bombs this time.
but lets hope not.

Well sorrrry! I just put this up, and I don\'t post in these forums anyway. I post over at TeamXbox. I just wanted to see what people\'s reaction here was and what they thought. I didn\'t know that this post was done before.

From what I heard it\'s nothing like that. The towers were worth 1.2 billion dollars, and it would take till 2006 to re-build them. I forgot where I heard that, maybe Howard Stern one of these mornings, but I did hear that.

The WTC would take years to build back up. I think they will probably go for say 4 50 story buildings rather than 2 110 story buildings.

Every building in NYC is tall. That\'s why I was saying you can\'t be scared to work in a tall building. You are just giving in to the terrorists. Plus they can hit short buildings too. Pentagon isn\'t very tall.

wow, thats nothing like how long i was thinking, but i believe it... those towers are big, and it would take a long time to rebuild them. but they will have to, no doubt.
its too bad they were so stupid.
