If your having problems sleeping go to support groups such as AA and Remaining Men
-
Congratulations!
Only on looong vacations have I passed that mark - and it has been a hard job to accomplish. Not a smile could\'ve been seen from my face afterwards.
You\'re one strong fellow - but tell me, how many cups of coffee did it take?
-
24 hours is nothing. You guys are a bunch of wimps.;)
-
Try chasing a hurricane for several days in a row getting blown around and getting absolutely drenched. Then you know you\'ve lived. Oh, but the overtime money is SWEET!!!
-
my roommates and i used to hold contests over the weekend to see who could stay awake the longest.
i did over 50 hours, with help of nicotine and caffiene
-
Im still awake..
It has now been 28hours without sleep!! :D
Thanks for the support guys..
Ive had 2cups of coffiee and 1 cup tea... And some coca cola to wash it down ;)
-
Bah, I\'ve been awake over whole weekends - without any stimulants, thank you very much. :)
I don\'t recommend it though - you feel lousy afterwards.

awwhhg !I used to stay up for my study in the first years easily, but that came with it\'s toll ; I can\'t do that really nowadays(nights) anymore. It\'s kinda like my body has suffered too much from that and feels all worn out whenever I attempt to do insomniac acts like that again.
No, I work/study best from 14:00 am to 3:00 am the next morning. But till 8:00 kills me.
I like to have my sleepy time:sleepy:
BTW did you know keeping POWS awake is a method of torture which some countries use ! If someone did that to me I would BEG them to stop and let me sleep because I find I can describe that horrible feeling as some sort of \'PAIN\'. So whenever I HAD to stay awake to study I was actually torturing myself. LOL :nut:

i did 36 hours with my friends we had fun, we went to dunkin dohnuts at like 5:30 in the moring with all the buisness men. it was funny. my friends go coffe, i didnt so i didnt say up as long as they did. but what was really funny was that one of my friends was laying on the ground talking to us and one second he was wide awake, and talking then, when he stopped, he just fell right asleep. he didnt remember him sleeping... it was weird..

I\'ve done two days before without much effort. You people are strange.
-
68 hours.. And I do not recommend that to anyone..
I stayed up for 68 hours.. And not only that but I had emotionaly trying times in all that.. My sister when into the hospital when I was at about 50 hours awake, so I had to go there and see her..
My body began shutting down, doing strange strange things.. I got sick after all that I think.. Don\'t remember
But it was interesting to see what my body went through, toward the end my brain was shutting down, I was awake but time just was going by in blocks, 20mins would go by and it seemed like seconds..

Ha. I used to crunch caffiene pills like candy, and I regularly stayed awake 72+ hours at a time, until they made my violently ill, and I stopped taking them.
-
I\'ve done 35 hours. Caffine pills, Jolt, doing pranks outside to keep our hearts beating fast.
I remember I would chew out anyone who talked to me, and I had a horrible headache. :boom:

You must have been wired. I get wired from a couple cups of Pepsi. And I mean wired.

72 hours without any help from anything. I\'m a natrual insomniac though, I can function perfectly without sleeping for 24 - 48 hours. After that, I start to slow down.

I\'m the same. I regularly function on an hour of sleep. When I was in the dorm there were times when I would go whole weekends(friday to sunday) without sleep.

There was a radio DJ that was running a telethon to raise money for a charity. His challenge was to stay awake for 200 hours. When scientists and med researchers heard of this they wanted to monitor his behavior which he let them do.
At about 100 hrs he started to hallucinate. And at around 150 his body was almost nonfunctional. I think he stopped at around 175 and literally went to bed for a little over a day. Keep in mind this is a guy that is used to staying up at nights doing his job.
(It\'s been a loooong time since I heard this report so please fill in the details/corrections if needed.)
Longest I ever stayed awake was probably 55 hrs. Either exams or vacations.

well lets see i had a contest with my gf where we went to see who could win
of course i always bragged about being able to stay up - needless to say we had stayed up for two days straight and we were on the third night and i think she had cheated but anyway i just gave up and let her win because i had to work a long shift the next day and ill be damned if i am gonna fall asleep at work and get fired - but yea u never hear the end of that
but with my friends i have stayed up for a little over 75 hours - ahhh good ol threes days of madness :)
yea i stay up till about 2-4 am everynight and get up at 7-8 every day - but its all good for me :)
although my gf thinks i am werid becuase of it - but what does she know :p

You feel pretty funny afterwards..
And after 25hours of no sleep at least I feelt I wasnt in my body anymore.. hehe :D

On day during the summer I went to bed like at 11 or 12. I woke up at 1 in the afternoon. I thought it was 10 maybe 11 at the most. My alarm clock decided not to work in early summer (alarm would go off when it felt like it. It went off during the night, during the day and I never turned the alarm on) so I couldn\'t see what time it is and I was to lazy to lift my head up to look at the clock on my stereo. So I slept 13 hours one time.
