I was thinking about how much Quddus use to whine about Bush and I was just wondering how much your views of Bush have changed. I was always for him, but now I really see that he is a true leader. He has an outstanding cabinet behind him and that\'s what makes a true leader.
-
Very glad he is in office, glad before and even happier now he is there!!!
-
Unquestionably. I believe he will go down as having one of the greatest administrations in American History.
Anyone else think it\'s funny how Clinton had to actively try to attain a legacy through his 8 years in office, and Bush already has one after 8 months?
-
Well, I must say that it\'s probably better to have Bush dealing with this situation than Gore. But Bush is gonna f*ck something up. That\'s for sure. When that happens his little "legacy" will straight downt the hole with him.
-
yea i liked him before
hell thats why i voted him in office isnt it - yea i am glad about the way he is doing this

Not that I\'m an expert or anything, but I hope such a tragic event would bring the best out in any president, be it Bush or Gore.

Get real, you know it\'s only by pure luck that this happened to us while Bush was in office. This is the best thing that could have happened for Bush\'s presidency. Now the late unpleasantness of his questionable ascension to power will be totally forgotten. He really can\'t do wrong right now, so I don\'t think you can give him as much credit as you\'d like to. I won\'t criticize him at this moment; I think the speech he gave to Congress was quite good, and I didn\'t disagree with a thing he said. So far he\'s been handling it rationally and moderately, and I\'m happy about that. We\'ll just have to see how he holds up under a few years of this level of strain. Hopefully no more vacations for him in the near future.
-
That doesn\'t mean I agree with him on domestic issues like the tax cut, but when it comes to retailiation against the enemy, I support him. Of coarse speaking of the "tax cut", the reason we have it, we the people are the ones who should "spend it" instead of the government...which now after what happen, the government now must go on the spending spree that Bush didn\'t want before 09/11/01 on things like defense (really important...well, he did want to increase spending here. But not to the point where we are now going), airport security (sadly, no one cared about this until what happened [which is probably why the events of 09/11/01 took place), government bailout of the airline industry, etc.
Chances are, if Gore was in the president seat, we probably will see his support sky rocket as well like Bush. Unless he takes the pacifist way and say "no war or action" (which IS VERY doubtful), something like this, doesn\'t matter who the president is, it just matters if he leads the nation, and, like retailiation, stands up for this nation. Weither that be Gore, Bush, or Nader.
-
I mean as far as the issue still stand I voted for someone else. And this has nothing to do with any of the issue I voted against him on. And no matter what I would back my president unless he does something real stupid and bush has handle this situation very well.
-
Bush is the greatest American president in the last 8 years.

In 1991 George Bush had a very high approval rating going into the gulf war. Well, we all know that a year later Sex Addict Clinton won the election.
America is flying high right now, but it will fade over time. Especially if we remain in a recession for too long. I agree that Bush is doing a kick ass job right now staying strong, but you have to give HUGE credit to his cabinet.
This is one of the strongest cabinet\'s I have seen in my lifetime. Imagine Janet Reno up there? Or Madeline Albright? Oh God..

Ooooh, yeah, baby! I love bush...I bury my nose in it, my tongue, aaah, suck that....ooops, wrong bush discussion, huh!?!
As far as our Commander-In-Chief? Absolutely! I\'ve been a fairly a-political person over the years (and there have been many of those to count)...and even Bush did not impress me until our country\'s recent tragedy brought to light a man of fire & principle. Besides his well-placed support with cabinet officials as well as the military experience our country currently has...Bush himself has stepped out of any shadow (of his father) I perceived he stood under when he spoke to the nation Thursday evening. Excellent job! BTW, I\'m not saying I had respect for Bush Sr..., just that I was expecting Jr. to show up on his daddy\'s coattails. Fact of the matter is that Jr. has me jacked to be an American right now. He and his defense heads are going about this in what I perceive to be undoubtedly the most logical manner [that intentions & expectations of war can have]. Now he needs to keep his convictions, keep a steely determination when things get rough, and...without a doubt...continue (while focusing our attentions half way across the world) to improve our own domestic protection & security efforts...

Will the 4 people who voted for Gore please stand up????
What in the world were you thinking?
Is your mouse broken and you clicked on the wrong button?
Did you feel sorry for Gore and want to give the poor guy a vote?
Please fess up and explain yourself.
Why would you trust a robot to lead us into a war???
-
Bush is a moron, he talks like he\'s retarded.
He has the intellect of an average goat.
I\'ve yet to hear him say anything that would make him sound intelligent.

You obviously didn\'t watch his speach the other night.
Bush is very intelligent. Anyone and everyone says stupid things or mixes up a word here and there every once and a while. You just don\'t have a camera pointed at you 24 hours a day.

Glad you aren\'t american. If you were you would probably realize that we aren\'t war freaks. We believe in defending what we believe in. Maybe you believe in hijacking plans and ramming them into buildings, but that is rather unamerican.
I don\'t think anyone "wants" to go to war, but if we don\'t fight these terrorist they will take over your country some day. I think then you would probably say, "I sure wish the US would have taken care of busines back then because we can\'t defend ourselves on our own." "Whoa is me, Whoa is me."

I didn\'t vote for either Bush or Gore. I don\'t think it takes as much intelligence and determination to lead a nation through war as it does to lead it through a peaceful time. I personally don\'t think either one of these candidates were qualified to make the kind of tough decisions and weather the controversy of leading the US through a quiet recession. I do think that either man is more than qualified to handle a war against terrorism. Right now the decisions are more clearcut, and there\'s less internal conflict for them to worry about.
BTW, regarding your comment about Bush\'s speech: I agree it was a good speech, and I won\'t doubt his ability to deliver a prewritten speech. But why does Bush never do press conferences? He and his handlers are terrified of putting him in a room with reporters who will ask smart questions. He\'s guaranteed to screw up in a situation like that because he\'s a dim bulb. This has not changed one bit. Don\'t think that because his charisma has somehow increased during this crisis that his intelligence has improved too. God forbid any US president should ever be put in a really high pressure question-and-answer session like Britain\'s or Australia\'s "Prime Minister\'s Questions." I believe either Bush or Gore would be squashed like a bug in an environment like that.

Where is this we crap coming from? I was talking about BUSH. Not the USA in total.
Glad u aren’t Australian.. Probably have the intellect of a wombat.. no that\'s too smart for you.. Probably don\'t even know what a wombat is... How bout, platypus.
Or you probably don\'t even know the name of our prime minister.

Maybe i believe your a ignorant tool. But that\'s rather un-American. What, u think the rest of the world are savage beasts that go high jacking planes just to fly them into buildings filled with thousands of people.. Uhh yea. I do that on a daily occasion.
After all, Australia is just a wasteland, and i live in a hut.
I do believe in defending a country. I don\'t believe in going into ANOTHER country to ATTACK terrorists. Ones called, DEFENCE the other is called retaliation. I do believe that one day.. maybe just one day. a American teacher will teach more then just American history.. maybe he will teach worlds history.
I don\'t think anyone "wants" to go to war, but if we don\'t fight these terrorist they will take over your country some day.
Dood, are u 2? There\'s 250 Million Americans. I doubt very much u will be over run with terrorists.. Unless your country is full of dumbsh@ts...
I think then you would probably say, "I sure wish the US would have taken care of business back then because we can\'t defend ourselves on our own." "Whoa is me, Whoa is me."
You still can defend yourselves on your own... Bush just wants to make sure he destroys his enemies. (War monger) He loves war; I even said it before he was elected. Like I said. There defence, and there\'s revenge. He is DEFENDING USA\'s pride.. He is Attacking the terrorists on a revenge.
Kinda like..
Someone shoots at u.. You duck and cover.. Then shot back... That\'s defence.
Then there\'s.
Someone shoots at u, you duck and cover. Then he runs off...
So u think.. Ohh this prick.. He attacked me.. Now I must get him back... So u chase the person too his house... and shot him multiple times. That\'s revenge.
but what would i know.. i just live in a hut.. wait my ride is here.. gotta go catch it.. I hate kangaroos.. bastards are hard to catch.
:)
Sorry if i pissed off anyone. I\'m just being Un-American.

No crap. Do you honestly believe that we shouldn\'t go and rid the world of the terrorist that could calmly kill 6500 people? That\'s unbelievable. That\'s not American, that\'s human... Don\'t think I really think we are going to rid the world of terrorists. I\'m not stupid, but I do think something should be done or it will just get worse and worse.
I do agree about history. It\'s very sad how much world knowledge we get in school. Hopefully I will be able to raise my child with worldly knowledge. I know I didn\'t get it at a youth, but I\'m doing alright now.
Dood, are u 2? There\'s 250 Million Americans. I doubt very much u will be over run with terrorists.. Unless your country is full of dumbsh@ts...
Only took 10 people to kill 6300. Could any government honestly expect to keep track of 300 million people?

I do think we should get rid of terrorists.. Hey here\'s a idea.. Get rid of hunger and poverty.. and wella. People are happy.

I donno about u dood..
But i don\'t think the twin towers are gonna get knocked down again, and i doubt we will see people hi-jacking planes daily. What happened was a ONE in a MILLION thing.
Terrorists do NOT hi-jack planes and crash into towers filled with thousands of people daily.
where\'s this 300 million people thing?....
I mean There\'s not 300 million terrorists.. unless u think the world is filled with terrorists, and only USA is filled with nice lovely people :).
"dodges bullets fired by a terrorists"

Terrorists are your enemys.. not other countrys that don\'t know who did, and didn\'t do this.

I was saying how do you expect to find 10 people out of 300 million citizens.
Some terrorist actions Have been foiled. But as you can see, just 3 acts of terrorism can change the lives of 300 million people.
Oh, and the cave is nice. I have my Ho chiseling out a window as we speak.
If I could just keep the dirt off the floor.

I do not like, or wish for war. I know full well the risks and suffering it will bring.
But we did not start this war. We were attacked. Out of the blue, without warning, a cowardly attack. Someone wanted a war with us and they fired the first shot in a big way. Is the Afghan government personally responsible for this attack? No. But they have publicly made it known that they support and harbor the trash that ARE responsible. Aiding and abbedding criminals. And we\'ve given the Taliban too many chances to turn the bastard over to us, they refuse. They support the bastard and refuse to give him up, that makes them just as responsible, and they must die along with Bin Laden for their crimes.
Retaliation, defense, call it what you will; America did not start this war. The "war-mongers" you speak of are hiding in the deserts of Afghanistan, and they speak for their government just as much as the fighters and bombers that attacked Pearl Harbor spoke for Japan, and we will treat them as harshly.
Pacifism is a good idea in theory, but it\'s time to face reality.

Only takes one day. If it happened every day you nor I wouldn\'t be here. Actually if it happens one more day you or I may not be here.
