See those long double bars, one pair at each end and one in the middle? Each pair represents the number six. Put\'em together and it\'s the hot line to beelzebub\'s beeper.

My opinion is that there are enough interesting conpiracies around about which are based on realistic, independently verifiable evidence. I see it as a waste of time to plunge into absurd psuedo-theological apocolypse conpiracies like this one. Whenever I see the phrases "mark of the "beast," "revelations," "666," my brain starts going "bzzzzaaaaaawwwwwww." I think discussions about these matters are childish, unless they\'re for pure entertainment value only.

You haven\'t refuted my assertion. In your initial post you said "so what do you think?" I told you what I thought. You then accused me of not being able to read. I then suggested that you are only seeking posts from people who agree with you. Then you posted saying "not at all," but the gist of your post suggests that any sort of contrary opinion qualifies as a flamewar and is therefore not acceptable. I repeat my assertion that you only want to hear opinions you agree with.

Even if I were Christian rather than agnostic I wouldn\'t believe this. There is essentially no backup at all whatsoever, it\'s just a bunch of coincidences. You are sounding just like the fellow who sent out chain letters trying to convince everyone that Bill Gates is satan with biblical quotes and whatnot. Exact same thing.
Okay, so the barcode readers symbolize the numbers 666. What exactly should we get from this? What is there that we should infer?
I\'m sorry, I just don\'t want you to unneccessarily be fearing your own shadow here.
By the way, there is no way you can not expect people to be overcritical of what you said here. They are going to react if they disagree quite a bit. And considering the extremeness of what you are saying, not expecting a large number of people to disagree with you is simply ridiculous.

It has come to my attention that in the last few months the worlds leading scientists have discovered that the number 666 comes after 665. I know this is a very hard concept to grasp but after looking over this data "664, 665, ***, 667, 668, exe". We have thus since come to the conclusion that the number 666 has the highest possibility of fitting inside that gap in the number-line.

As far as the subject of this thread goes.. it\'s lame. Do you have any idea how many of these wingnut off the wall religious nutjobs are out there posting this stuff to get people rilled up? This is no different than that story about Oil drillers in Texas burrowing a 6 mile deep tunnel into hell and takin (OBVIOUSLY faked) recordings of the agony goin on down there.

Mate, I am a Christian, and yes, i do believe that there will be a mark of the beast...
but think about it, seriously, in Revelations it states that everyone will be made to eventually get the mark, but only some people (Christians) will be hesitant to recieve it.
How many people would be jumping at the prospect of being branded by the government in this day and age - not many, if any at all.
I dont think that \'barcodes\' are what the mark will be, it will be different, something that the general public can actually accept on recieving, like, possibly a microchip that will have an alternative purpose.
Now, I am not saying your wrong, but this type of \'scary Bible stuff\' always seems to pop up after a significant world event. I personally don\'t think the public are ready for it yet, but it will come, but no onw actually knows when.
I am not a bus stop Christian. I am not gonna wait on my little bench for it to all happen, or cower away in trepadation cause I am scared. I am gonna live my life knowing the I am right with God, and when the time comes, I will meet him, whatever the situation.
