Yeah um...I just played ICO for about 6 hours today and...WOW! ;) There were points in the game where I just wanted to wet myself. It\'s a truly beautiful game.
Especially the water, and the trees (the light shines through each leaflet...amazing stuff).
I have to say this is the strangest game that I have ever played. I thoroughly enjoy the gameplay (easy to move around ans such).
The puzzles can get very confusing at times, and can have you stumped for long periods of timeif you\'re not careful. I don\'t wanna go too much into detail about this game, but my review for it so far is this:
Gameplay: 9
Graphics: :D
Music: Hardly any, but when there is, it\'s great
Hardness of puzzles: Ranging from 7 to WTF...screw this *&$*&#!!
Other stuff: Can get repetitive, but it\'s still great IMO
Overall score: 9
It\'s not the best game in the world (from what I\'ve played so far), but it sure is some pretty eye candy...
I\'ll give a better review when I beat the game...

The puzzles do get hard. I think the smarter people got to beat the game in under 10 hours. I\'m 4 hours into it and I just got past that waterfall part.

Same here. Except my mom wont drive me to the mall.... She\'s "Too busy"... Which she\'s not doing anything at all.....
I guess I have to wait till next weekend till I get SH2 and ICO.:(

Great Review! This game is for everyone! Vivi, I can\'t wait to get to the river level. I\'m can\'t get up the wind mill. I could in the demo but the wind mill has no stick to grab anymore.

Climb the stairs here, then jump to a narrow ledge that rims the mill. Stand on the ledge and edge around to the right, moving around the corner. Once there, climb the boards up the side of the mill until you reach a brick walkway. Move around to the other side of the walkway and face the blades of the windmill. As a blade moves up (and is close to horizontal), leap to it. Then, as the blade slowly turns, move up it in a hand-over-hand fashion until you are at the end of the blade. Wait until the blade rises and comes even with the top platform, then quickly jump backwards to safety. Move down the path.
Sounds complicated but once you play again it\'s easy to follow.

I beat ICO not 5 minutes ago. My time was a little over 5 hours. The ending was excellant. In the ending you have a little part where you control Ico some more.

I just beat the game for the first time a few minutes ago... Very impressive to say the least.
The final part of the game made the whole experience one to remember. I don\'t want to spoil anything, but I will say that the storyline kicks up and there are some real emotional scenes right at the end.

I was so far in the game, about 4 hours, the last time I had saved was like an hour before that and my mom came over to my cousins and made me quit, we couldnt find a couch in time, God Damn mother ****ER, but I do love the game

I went to Toys R Us yesterday and saw D2 for Dreamcast for $9.99 so I picked it up. Then I went to the PS2 section and I was there for about a half hour deciding which one game out of 3 that I\'m interested in. Fantavision, Oni, and ICO. I haven\'t seen the reviews on the web, and then I thought about all the excitement ICO has gotten on this board and took a chance and picked it up too. What an excellent game! The atmosphere, the puzzles, the sounds. Buy this game! It\'s so cool. You know I was kidding about Fantavision, and Oni. I own Oni and it\'s been on my shelf collecting dust, but I might give it another chance. The other games I was interested in was EA\'s Rugby- It looks like an interesting sport, Bloody Roar 3 looks like a cool fighter as well. Buy ICO, then you will look like this:D :D :eek:

Hey np Vivi, I just tend to be hyper-anal when it comes to spoilers in games. It\'s almost gotten to the point that I don\'t even want to know what the title screen looks like. (I\'m cursed.) :eek: Well, maybe I\'m not that bad, yet.
The problem with me and people mentioning upcoming events/scenes, is that I tend to over-analyze everything. Already figuring out what isn\'t even there. But in any case, you were helping someone getting past a point. If I hadn\'t passed that section yet, just by reading one sentence, I\'d be one step closer to going through it. (and we can\'t have that can we?) ;)
