New Space Channel
Rez
Sakura Taisen 4

Well, I\'ll be damned. Now it will come down to who gets it first and who has the better looking version, which I am guessing will be the Xbox - simply because development started for the Xbox. I could be wrong though.
Either way, its good news for PS2 owners who had no plans of buying an Xbox but was interested in JSR:Future.

Holy Crap!! Strange.
I don\'t know if this is true though, since Magic Box is run by a Japanese guy who mistranslates or misplaces things.
Judging by this, Monkey Ball is also on the way, and that wasn\'t announed either for PS2. If it is true though, I will get the versions that look and play the best, or come out first :p

What\'s stopping VF4 going to xbox? Actually I\'m not surprised, and wouldn\'t be surprised if VF4 gets an xbox release. Sega wants to make money, it only makes sense.
Honestly, I never was that interested in the game. VF4 though...

They aren\'t even showing PD aymorew, if what the sites say are true :(
Maybe they are converting it to PS2, which would be a serious shock to me, since Hitmaker said they were highly unimpressed with Ps2\'s hardware.
I will believe this news when another big site says it, or straight from the japanese horse\'s mouth.

Yeah, but vf 4 is ps2 only for 1 year at least, so it would be old by the time it went to xbox.

eventually all Xbox and Gamecubes games will be ported over to ps2...cause ps2 will have the most units sold...watch and see...

Personally, after looking at the site, I\'m not exactly sure its true. Sega has never mentioned this or Super Monkey Ball being ported to the PS2 and the way they had their original plan, was to divide all the divisions up and give equal amount of games to each system - which also gurantee\'d them more money , because Sega fans would have to be each console. I won\'t truly believe it , until Sega comes out and makes an offical announcement and other bigger sites start reporting this news.
As for the comment about VF4 going to the Xbox, Yu Suzki has said in inteviews if he thinks he can do more with another system, he would port it.

Tiesto - That would onyl be true if Sonic Team, Hitmaker, or Smilebit cared a drop about PS2, which it looks like they don\'t. Sega makes games for systems they are designed for basically.
And who knows, 2nd gen X-Box and GC games probably wont be able to be made without graphical and feature downgrades, that wouldn\'t be right. Sega would never do that unless it was for their own system.

I don\'t think they\'re thinking that way. If they port all their games to all the systems, they have more chances of being sold. Which @ this point, all SEGA cares about is to make money once again. (I think anyway) -- I don\'t think SEGA is going to be loyal to anyone right now, they\'ve been in the hole too long for that.
If the PS2 does end up having the largest installed base, I\'m sure SEGA would port. Let\'s face it, I doubt GC or X-box will have the same base in Japan as the PS2. So the PS2 will look to be the most profitable for SEGA. Or at least have the chance to be the most profitable. I\'m guessing SEGA will see how well their sales go on the other consoles first, before porting. Oh well, that\'s my .02 gil. ;)

Good news although i was never into these kind of games, its great to see the Ps2 line up bolsterd with even more superb titles.
IMO i preffer the Look of Airblade.

This isn\'t true, it\'s just a misinterpretation. Since the news of Sega\'s TGS lineup was on IGNPS2, some presumptuous PS2 fans have concluded that these games are for the PS2. However, IGNPS2 basically just stated that those games will be on display in the Sega booth at TGS. I think they jumped to the conclusion that people would be smart enough to put each game with its respective console.
This goes to show how all Xbox games "suck" until it seems as if they are coming to the PS2. Now all of a sudden, JGRF briefly became a killer app until I, DX, crushed the hopes of PS2 fans everywhere. While the game may eventually see the PS2, it won\'t be on display at TGS this year. Sorry.

Sega has announced more 6 PS2 titles which the company will display at the Fall TGS. The titles are:
Jet Set Radio Future
New Space Channel
Rez
Sakura Taisen 4
Super Monkey Ball
Virtua Fighter 4
Interestingly enough two of those titles JSRF and SMB were once thought to be exclusive to other next generation systems.

Ok that might be true, even though ithe forum has been peaceful ill just bash and flame because i don\'t like what i am hearing. Now ill question the relevence of IGN on of the biggest sites out there and now ill point out how i see it. Yeah i think they are jumped up but if i don\'t say that then people will beleve it and not me.
This goes to show how much of a fanboy i realy am and use the old console bashing line to justify my hatered of the PS2. even though i Fail to realise that most Ps2 fans (like ooseven) that will never buy an xbox, are infact looking forward to it\'s launch as it will only benift both the Ps2 and X box..............

excellent....with the release of jet set radio future for the ps2, ill be saving $300 bux....im sure the xbox\'s version will look better, but s\'ok...no need for an xbox now...jet set was the only reason i was getting it (with the hope for better games in the future)..now i can wait until those future games come out before i invest in the M$ machine.

Sega Releases TGS Stage Show Details
UGA hangs with AM2 when Sega makes its first splash as a third party in Japan.
October 1, 2001
Sega has announced the details of its massive event stage at the upcoming fall Tokyo Game Show this month. It looks as if Sega will be bouncing back with a very impressive showing -- this bodes well, considering it\'s the company\'s first TGS as a third-party software developer. Familiar titles Rez, Jet Set Radio Future, and Super Monkey Ball will be on display, as well as upcoming potential hits Sakura Taisen 4, Virtua Fighter 4, and the tentatively-titled New Space Channel. The centerpiece of the show, apparently, is to be some sort of presentation involving AM2 head Yu Suzuki (now very high in the Sega hierarchy) and the iconoclasts of United Game Artists, developers of Rez and Space Channel.
IGN will naturally be on hand to bring Sega fans the coverage they require, regardless of console. Expect further details in approximately two weeks.

I\'m just saying that you may want to refrain from jumping to conclusions because you\'re going to feel pretty stupid later on when this RUMOR is debunked. Where did you get from the IGN article that JGRF is coming to the PS2? The article said no such thing. That\'s what I was pointing out...the presumptuousness of some eager PS2 fans.
However, I did not hesitate to mention how PS2 fans are eager to put this game on their most wanted list now that it APPEARS to be on the PS2. I thought this game was "a DC game that didn\'t sell well the first time so that means it sucks...Army Men sold more, so it\'s a better game!" How is pointing that out "trolling". If you don\'t agree with what I say, then fine. Just don\'t resort to the childish name-calling and flaming.

How long have you been here DirectXbox? At least half a year, right? Haven\'t you figured out yet that most of us play more than one console?
Is it wrong to not want an Xbox? NO. Is it wrong to not want a game when it\'s coming to the Xbox, but to want a game now that it\'s coming to the PS2? Heck no. Now that we don\'t have to shovel out $350 to get the game, of course we\'ll want it more. Does that make us fanboys? I\'ll let you answer that one...

Actually, I\'ve been here for over two years under various aliases. Who mentioned the Xbox here? This has nothing to do with the Xbox, I just wanted to tell certain PS2 fans to not get presumptuous and start assuming that JGRF is on PS2 cuz it\'s not.

I meant to say that it wasn\'t the gist of the IGN article. That article did not announce that Sega would show PS2 versions of those games at TGS. I don\'t care whether or not the games are coming to PS2, because I no longer own one.
