Has anyone else heard this ??????

Its a good idea because Drakan is just packed in with a ton of potentially AAA games

Not much scheduled right after Christmas either.

I was also told by someone at IGN forums that SOny\'s reasoning is to give Drakan II some Hype


It\'s also been renamed to Drakan: The Ancients\' Gates.

Looks good.

Too bad the background is a little bland though. :(

good looking! I am happy the game is delayed, with the sudden flood of great games I have no cash to purchase all those games

Why do people want Baldurs Gate :  Dark Alliance Vivi

The gameplay in Drakan II will be very similiar to Baldurs Gate, but with Drakan II we won\'t have to put up with the overhead camera angle and we also get Aerial Combat via Dragon

Basically as I undersatand  ground based gameplay will be hack and slash battle  with Bows and magic as well as RPG type  character building and lots of NPC\'s to interact,  same as BG: DA

Graphics are fantastic and I think Drakan II has some of the best graphics out for any game on any system

Besides all that I do love Medevil / Fantasy seetting like this one.

I honestly can not say if Drakan will  live up to my expectations but none the less I really like what I\'ve seen and read in previews

Double D and his ever presenet quest to get this game the credit it deserves. I don\'t know why they postponed it so long just to Hype it. It would be so much simpler to postpone it 2 weeks and start an add campaign.

Ahh Caspian respectrs my quest

andyway Drakan II was due out on Oct 30 the same day as Crash Bandicoot, GTA3 and THPS3 and 10 days after DMC so Oct is packed. 2 weeks later would be November 13 where Deus Ex, MGS2, SSX Tricky, Baldurs Gate: DA, Burnout and about 10 other killer games

So there really wasn\'t much room for another really good game to be released IMO

After Christmas there will be a slow period although FFX will be released in January as well which also hurts Drakan alot cause even I will wait for Drakan II tro play FFX

good thing it is delayed, i look forward to so many games in the coming 3 months, i don\'t think i will have time to play them all, at least this spaces it out a bit more.

I watched the Jampack video demo 1/2 dozen times last night and this game ust looks so cool.

I hope they release some new movies screens and stuff soon

I still don\'t see why they don\'t release it ASAP.  They could release it now and get lots of sales over the Christmas season, then start the advertising for it in January when all the gaming industry starts to slow down.  That way the people who know about it now and want it now can get it, and the casual gamers can get it after they see the commercials for it.  I guess this means a few more months to perfect the game though. :)

BTW, does any one else notice how awesome Sony\'s first party is?  There is a new high quality title released from them about every other month.  I am actually starting to think that Sony\'s first party is better than Nintendo\'s. :)

Now all they have to do is pull 989 together.  Sony\'s 1st parties have gotten really good. :cool:
