Post by: Bossieman on October 04, 2001, 08:32:44 AM
This is a big suprise for me. MS haven´t told the fans what the specs are. I wounder why?

Here is a link to the forum where I found the information.

Teamxbox forum (http://forums.teamxbox.com/showthread.php?threadid=27674)

Why haven´t MS told the fans the specs?

... I cant believe people are still wondering if the GPU speed has been dropped or not. Its 233mhz. The HDD is stayin\' at 10 gigs. The CPU is stayin\' at 733mhz. The only thing I\'m wondering about is if the DVD player has progressive scan DVD playback or not.

??? What is this? Is this a quote from a x-box fanboy at the teamx-box forum or is it your opinion?

According to MS, and TXB, and OXM, they said that progressive scan was still up in the air, but now its highly doubtful, although no matter what, Xbox\'s DVD player will outshine PS2\'s. I really wish sony would have given the PS2 a better lens, because my ps2 is acting up, and not playing DVD movies.

I kinda doubt that the Xbox will have better compression.

Its what I think the official specs are based on comments made by people who work for MS and have clarified the specifications of the Xbox several times upon several times on the TXB forums and others. I dont understand why these people are still confused.

Ethan, that was the smartest thing in this thread.

Bossieman, quit being such an idiot. The specs have been finalized when they sent out the debug kits to the major sites and magazines.

Who cares what how large they are, it looks great!
