Yep, finally did it.
I didn\'t by an iBook as I thought I\'d do, it turned out to more trouble than it would be worth.
Instead I got me a great deal on a modest IBM ThinkPad, an i1300 series.
Specs
Celery 750Mhz
192mb o\'ram
10gig hardrive
13,3" TFT
DVD drive
and the usual stuff
I couldn\'t be happier, I could have spent more money and gotten a heck of alot more expensive Dell, bought I couldn\'t refuse this deal, and the upside of that deal is, now I\'m just a poor student, not a broke student.
:D

Good job on the purchase.

THAT\'s modest??? The laptop I use for work, (owned and issued by my company) is a Thinkpad 600E. Pentium2 266, 128 meg ram, 12 gig HD, CD-ROM, no DVD, etc. You get it, bare bones. It runs Win2K, and that\'s all I need. I\'ve already had it two years and it still works great.
They can be easily damaged if you mistreat them, so be careful. I\'ve seen what\'s happened to coworker\'s machines, and they are very expensive to repair. Don\'t drop it.

Belive me, I\'ll treat it like my baby......or maybe I should treat it like someone else\'s baby, just to be sure ;)
But ThinkPad\'s can take a little roughness, that\'s why it\'ll be great for me, since I\'ll be using it for school.

First day of school with a laptop, and this thing rules, infact I am posting from class :D (English class to be exact) and earlier I was chatting with Luke, while in class. :D
Man, this is the best study aid ever
