Title: silent hill 2 x-box
Post by: Liquid Wesker on October 05, 2001, 01:23:11 AM
just wondering, does any1 know exactly why x-box version doesnt have the grain effects.  I\'ve heard that mc wanted konami to show more archetectual quality and also heard the x-box couldn\'t do them for whatever reason.

I know their are no ps2 flaws here cuz there\'s an option to turn off grainy graphics when u finish it and konami put it in purposely for atmosphere.

The "Grain Effect" is a film type filyer to make the game look more gritty and organic.  And it works quite well.

You haven\'t shown any proof that what you said is even true.  Where did you here that the X-box version doesnt have the grain effects?  What\'s the point of discussing if why there is no grain effect if what you said is not even true?

The grain effect can easily be put into the game right before it\'s finished.  It is just a filter (not a physical filter, but a programmed filter) that the graphics go though which changes the graphics.  Unless Konami has stated that there wouldn\'t be a grain filter, then chances are there still will be one.
