I wanted this game when it first came out. Although I think the name change is kinda stupid, it looks kiddy. It does have a teen rating though. Anyone play this? Worth buying?
-
No, I haven\'t played it.
-
It\'s definitely kiddy....yet the script is entertaining. I like it. Be prepared for long dialogues, though. My advice is to save after long series of diologues before you take your next big battle, else you\'ll have to go through all the talking again.
Graphics are amazing, characters are likable, especially the Evil King Stan(yeah, that\'s his real name). He\'s the funniest character ever on any RPG I\'ve ever played. Combat system is simplistic, you can avoid baddies if you want since you can see them. So you have a choice to avoid those annoying random battles every 5 seconds. As for the combat system, it\'s nothing new.
Rent it. It\'ll take more than a one time rent to finish it. From there, decide if you want to buy it.
Only complaint so far is that in some areas, it may take up to 5 seconds to load a room are new area. Mostly it takes about 3 - 4 seconds.

My friend has the game and he realy likes the game alot. But keep in mind he\'s an RPG and RTS freak. If your favorite genre is RPG\'s you probably will like it.
-
I almost picked it up today, but then I saw this big ass box with the title TIME CRISIS 2 on it. I love lightgun games so I picked it up.
-
they say the game clocks 30 hours of gameplay, now SH2 was 10-12, and I thought that was fairly long. But they claim 30 hours is short?

Please don\'t bump your post.

"Looks" boring? It\'s not a bad game so far. But you shouldn\'t judge a game by just how it looks on screen captures alone.
Hmph! Kids these days.

Hey, I just got back to the store trading in some old N64 stuff, I got madden 2002, and Okage: Shadow King, spending a grand total of..... :drum roll please:
4 Dollars
I also reserved Metal Gear Solid 2 :)
Anyway, I got Okage, haven\'t played it yet, I\'m reading the manual as I speak, but this game is very reminiscant of a game called "Super Mario RPG", which is my favorite RPG of all time... we\'ll see if Okage can top it, I\'d just love it if it did. So, i\'ll be playing for a while, I\'ll let you know what I think.
BTW, sorry ooseven, didn\'t mean to offend you. Looks like we got more in common than I thought, I\'m always up for a good RPG:)
