Well I don\'t know to be exact I thought the first MGS was simply moderate due to its lack of time in the game it self, repititions and well it was not really a RPG more like a level by level action game. But MGS 2 atleast from the demo looks consturctive and has good thought in mind. It even seems like fun, but to say MGS was the greatest game ever was really wrong. I believe Final Fantasy VII took number one there... and some of those RPG successful characteristics as appearing in MGS 2. Hopefully the game will be longer as well. I have my doubts but the game was spectacular.. again this is based on the demo. Sony really needs this one as well, due to the large ammount of XBOX fans (Microsoft Employees) they\'re everywhere... extatic over all the game developers who sold out.. If sony really wants to shut Microsoft up on it\'s Grand Opening Birthday... then this game has got to be 100x better than MGS..... And so far it looks like it is... You may beg to differ... I know some people don\'t like action level by level crap... but I being one of those people find my self eagerly anticipating the game\'s launch.... Well In conclusion I feel this game will be a turning point from RPG\'S To an Actual RPA (Role Playing Action) Era..... The first MGS was not a RPA it was just lacking.... MGS 2 looks promising and I think it could do it.... What do you guys think.

I haven\'t really cared for the MG series, but have played the demo some and am impressed with the expansive features, I will probably end up getting it, but not right when it comes out.
Greatest game ever? doubt it, Pac-Man owns all!

I don’t think one game can be the best game ever.. (Cuz, not everyone may like it ;) )
Maybe best in its genre..
Its looking promising..
And the new English trailer roxorz your boxxorz! :D
David Hayters voice really fit the new Snake, complete with a all American mullet!

well, you mihgt have something there. It probably will be the biggest PS2 game when it comes out. After playing the demo about 100,000 times, i\'d say it has a shot at being the best to date. What I love about it is that there is so much extra crap you can do, like shooting the bottles on the table and you see the ketchup splatter everywhere, littles things like that I think make that game fun. Better than the first no question. We shall wait and see I guess.

According to EGM issue #100, Tetris is the greatest game ever...
-
you know, I might agree with that, I can still play that game for hours straight, stopping only because my wrists wont move or bend anymore.
Great game.

I once lost $200 playing Tetris one night. Luckily I made $500 the next night.
My friends and I will gamble on anything. Anything.

Hey Gohan i bet you $1000 that you can\'t get photo shot of one of the Gaurds in MGS2:SOL peeing like you could in Metal Gear Solid on the PSX.
:p
p.s.
only kidding about the $1000 , lets jsut make it that you can call me silly names like Mr poopie Head. :D

Well I thought FF7 sucked. Hate on me if you must but it was just boring. MGS was un-freakinbelievable! Eh, different strokes for different folks.

Best game ever? I don´t think that... it´s a extra great game but nobody can say one game is the best ever made. But MGS2 will be one of the best :p
-
Yeah but well... I think the first MGS was overated as helllllllllllllllllllll and ff7 was underated... if it wasn\'t for ff7 u wouldn\'t see this rpg revolution

MGS2 is to the PS2 as Mario 64 is to the N64. *cough*No, I don\'t mean the only good game for the system.*cough* (Sorry, I couldn\'t resist. You guys know I\'m just kidding.) This game is going to be, or already is what the PS2 is known for. When people think PS2, they think MGS2, just like when people think N64, they think Mario 64.
MGS2 is going to be an awesome game, but for some reason, I\'m looking forward to other games more. Maybe I already know that MGS2 will be great so I\'m not counting that in my most wanted games list (it\'s way above the most wanted games list ;)).
I also think MGS1 was overrated, but it was still very cool. The gameplay was lacking a little bit (I hated to being able to stop the gaurds from coming after you alerted them), but the story was magnificant. It and FF7 are tied for best storyline in a game on the PSX IMO. MGS2 already has unbeatable gameplay. I hope the story can be just as good.

What RPG revolution are you talking about?
More movies in games? or should I say more games in movies?

RPGs were never really popular in America until FF7 came out. FF6 was what started the evolution, but FF7 is what created the millions and millions of RPG fans.

guh??!?! RPG\'s weren\'t popular? Boy, if SonyFan saw this, you would be without half of your body.
please don\'t tell me that Square started the revolution, at best they started the cinematic RPG revolution, at best.

FF7 is the game that made me love RPGs, and I know others who think the same. Maybe SonyFan was playing RPGs long before FF7, but most of the RPG population now wasn\'t. Like I said, FF6 started the RPG revolution, but FF7 introduced millions of people to the RPG genre.

Tetris is the greatest game ever for a lot of reasons. The biggest reason being, it has endless replay value.
Then again, I don\'t like MGS....sooo...I can\'t say I\'m not a tad biased against the series.
;)
