i swear the media is news for the ignorant masses

just saw in newspaper

"The Xbox is more in demand than the PS2 was."

maybe if each store has 3 units available, and every country hick found a ride to sears that day

I don\'t think that that article is true. I don\'t think any console will be as more in demand as the PS2.

Well now we know where some of that $500 million in advertising is going

Bribing Journalist and publications to give Xbox a more positive spin


I\'m sure Xbox is in demand but without any doubt the PS2 will rule the holidays for very obvious reasons

why can\'t it be?

Launches more than a month closer to Christmas than PS2 did. built in harddrive and ethernet adaptor...

My friend\'s Babbages has taken more preorders for X-Box than they did for PS2. Of course this may be out of the norm, because they hardly have any GC preorders. Online preorder sites have sold out in less than 1 hour on all bundles...

I doubt it will sell as many PS2\'s because it seems like they aren\'t gonna try and create a supply/demand riot, al la Sony. I am guessing though it will sell through until Christmas.

Well all this journalist did was look at a bunch of Xbox sources for information and compared that mentally to PS2\'s selling out.  Based on that narrow recollection, he made an assumption and reported it as fact.

What does that mean?  He doesn\'t know sh*t about sh*t.  (A particularly accurate statement since he was talking about Xbox.  ...  Huh? ;))
