I dunno If im stupid or what..but everytime I think I\'ve understood that game..I get lost again..Now I beat it and got the water ending...4 outta 8 stars on normal..in 7hours. This is the 1st time I\'ve played/beat it.
I\'m not really sure what happend to Mary..I gathered she got sick, I *think* James killed her..but was that literally? Then I see the end...anyone wanna clue me in?

I am working through my second time, and you got the ending "Leave" I presume. Yes, James killed Mary, but it was a mercy killing.

I got the water ending.

The in water ending is wear James commits suicide after he drives into the lake with Marys dead body.
At the end of it the boss you fought was Maria. Maria is everything James wishes Mary could of been. James did kill Mary out of mercy...which is why throughout the whole game you have to watch Maria die because for James its like watching Mary die.
After the Boss fight your taken BACK IN TIME of sorts ot the dat Mary begged james to kill her (in sorts from what I could gather) and instead of killing her again James decides to end it with her...and drives his car with her and him in it into the lake.
I hope that helped understand the ending better.
