Somebody here got on my case one time because I  said that Nintendo was stupid for only having a few launch games with their systems; and that it keeps on screwing them over when they launch like that over a year an a half after a company like Sony established its new system in the market place. Twice in a row now. What the heck is wrong with Nintendo? That entire company needs to be ***** slapped.

actually, I think after a month, DC was still going stronger than this, in fact, on launch, it sold 200,000. GC JUST sold 200k.

Yea the Nintendo Japanese launch was a little unnerving.  They delayed games that they obviously should have pushed out the door on launch day.  Even with just 200k systems, a hit game like SSB:M could grab the number one spot, at least for a week.

With more third party support for the American launch, they can get away with an SSB:M delay, but in Japan they clearly need all the help they can get.

Ps2 is killing gamecube in sales.  8500?!?!?!  THats sad ps2 does an average of 40,000 per week. If this keeps up gamecube won\'t be in a good position in japan.

looking bad for PS2 fans too, remember, competition drives the industry, look what happened to PSX after Saturn died and they figured out N64 wasnt a competitor, the games turned to crap.

And right now, GC is not looking that good to be that...competition. Hopefully the Xbox will have a better time, but even this system...

Also, hope Nintendo gets an act together and start releasing games to actually raise their own sales. Man, thats simply pathetic right now.
