This movie is awesome!!! Its fight scenes are the best, good storyline, and a really hot chinese girl!!!;) If you havent seen it already u should, the only thing bad about it (for some people) is that its subtitled.

Muahahhaha. I saw the English dubbed version. :)

They should have hyped it more.. This movie is a Crouching Tiger killer. :)

I saw the trailer, and it looks great!

Seems to be... \'Inspired\' by Tiger & dragon, a lot. But I don\'t mind.

This is an old movie it\'s  been out in china a long while now it is finally being released in the usa. When they saw how good crouching tiger did they decided to release it in usa. So Tiger is the real copier.

if it has a better story line than Crouching tiger I might watch it.......couldnt get past the desert part...........

The storyline is very predictable, but you\'ll get over it! Trust me, if u liked crouching tiger and like kung fu...you will love this movie!!!;)

I\'d say that CTHD had a better storyline, and more in-depth characters (it was certainly longer), but Iron Monkey IMO had waaaay better (and more numerous) fight scenes.  It\'s closer to a typical chinese kung-fu than CTHD was, that\'s for sure, with some odd (if you aren\'t used to it) humor and fantasy mixed in.

BTW - How DARE you watch it dubbed!  Movies like Iron Monkey, Crouching Tiger, Run Lola Run, and Like Water for Chocolate (Como Agua Para Chocolate), are MEANT to be watched in their original languages!

I cant imagine watching it dubbed...it just wouldnt be the same!

That\'s the whole point - it\'s not the same, it\'s much, much better. :D

You should try it sometime, it\'s like watching dubbed anime.  Even good voiceovers loose something in translation.  If a japanese director chose a certain person to play a voice in a cartoon, and they do it, with the director\'s help, advice, etc.  Do you think some english actor reading the script later will feel the same way about it?  Just try watching some of these things in their original languages.  I think you\'ll find that after a while, you can\'t go back to dubs.

Its weird, Jet Li was to be the original "neo" in the Matrix(he\'s in The One).  Neo(Reeves) was "the one" in the Matrix.  And the movie has alot of "matrixy" moves.  coincidence??

I never really liked reading subtitles. :(


As for The One, that movie looks kickass. It is on my must watch list. :)

Oh hell yeah i cant wait for "The One", that is gonna be hot!:fro:
