People have seen screen messages like, "Your Xbox needs to be repaired, please call . . ." on demo Xbox units at TRU and places as well. Apparently there\'s going to be a story about it at Gaming-Age tomorrow so you may want to check it out.

Oh and alot of Xbox:es seem to have broken down.. (The kiosk once seem to be the retail once!?) :eek:
Worse than the PS2 brake down epedemic!! :cool:

I don\'t get the big honkin\' deal about this pic. It\'s on a dev kit, right? Well, I can\'t actually remember the last time I wrote a lengthy program, even a straight forward one, that compiled with no errors first time. This message could be as simple as a little coding error in a GAME they\'re developing, that causes a problem. Then they fix it.

The only reason anybody cared to take a picture of this is because it is MS, I remember back in the day when I used to go to Best Buy and MegaMart and play games, the PSX always had the "insert CD\' Screen up, but you couldn\'t do anything, because it was broken. Only about a year ago I figured out that\'s what that was, all the way back when it launched, after 3 PSX\'s, I knew that stupid screen well. At least this system doesn\'t freeze on you when it \'breaks\' it tells you the disk isn\'t reading and allows you to go on.
Give it a rest guys, this is dumb.
Vivi - no, obviously. I was trying to make a point, this is stupid. People that laugh at this **** need to have their face kicked in, or the pain-equivalent.

yea well all i gotta say is its not like other consoles of the past havent had these problems
say the first nintendo where you had to blow it beat it and throw it to make it play right
or how about PS2 and its no cd reading capabilities with a Disk read error message
or all the others and so on
microsoft isnt the first and wont be the last since no one is perfect

no console is perfect, and some break more than others, i would worry if the XBox failures were 1 in 10, wow, that would bite.

but none the less there will be faulty units of Xbox just the same as PS2\'s. Its the same for all technology, The faster and deeper it gets the more things that can go wrong.
Add in the fact that game consoles are rushed into a more stringent realease time and even more flawas are possible.

Yes, if this system was prodcued by Zenith I doubt anyone would have even taken a screen shot.
This is just another tired (and unjust) argument against the xbox and MS. You code a game or even a website and tell me if you get it right the very first time.

the difference is, Ddaryl, I don\'t make threads devoted to them. I hardly ever support threads where they are talking about how bad the PS2 is made, I tell them I havent had any problems and I treat mine like gold.
I guess it is allowed to \'inform\' people of X-Box\'s problems,, and not be dumb, pointless topics, but a PS2 one pointless and groundless.
That is BS and you know it. Now if I went around saying that PS2 breaks easy, which i HAVENT, and made threads on it, you could call me out, but you have no grounds, so I think you know what to do now, and it involves not talking.

Don\'t mess with Zenith man. They make some of the most durable TV\'s around. My Grandma has had her Zenith TV for about 10+ years now, that\'s amazing.

It has everything to do with the idiotic way you presented your case, but I guess you would prefer to play at the level of your competition
Make yuor points without threats. Its unacceptable for anyone to do such a thing here regardless of console views
and there have been 100 PS2\'s breaking threads over the last year and no one was reprimanded or discouraged from doing so. So Xbox threads of the same nature will be treated the same
NOW I agree that the over zealous excitement that some people post this news with is lame, but none the less there were those who shared that same angle against the PS2 as well
What comes around goes around, you just seem more offended because its Xbox

the thing that get\'s me, ddaryl, is that there are two entirely different reactions when dealing with 2 similar topics.
the PS2 thread would go-
\'x\' person says PS2 not working.
\'y\' person will say, "what did you do" or something to that effect.
for X-Box, it goes-
\'x\' person shows internet screenshot of malfunctioning X-Box screen.
\'y\' person says "hahahaha, M$ is having problems, they are all broken! hahahaha" or the dumb statement equivalent.
also, my kicking in of the face statement should be taken with a laugh, with all internet threats, they are designed to create humor in people, something some of the people in here lack...badly.

and I agree it can be annoying, but your comments didn\'t come across humerous to me, and I\'m sure to a few others.
and you never threatened to kick in the heads of any Xbox, GC, or DC fanboys that got all wet with excitement when PS2 breakdowns happened
not to mention your complete lack of :D ;) figures to show a joke, but even so your statement came across a little strong

good sarcasm is ruined by bad smilies.
This is PSx2c.com, so I expect people to make sense and be practical, which most have for the past year and a while.
But no DC, X-Box, GC, or otherwise fans were wetting themselves over all the PS2 breakdowns, because the media doesnt feel the need to report breakdowns when it isn\'t MS. This board doesn\'t have any DC or GC fanboys, only fans, and it only has a couple of X-Box fanboys, but none would post on a PS2 breakdown thread about how \'typical\' it was for a Sony system to break, unless that was the point of the thread, al la Gohan\'s RandR rant.
I hope, and pray (cause I havent seen him around) that SonyFan was at least laughing at the joke, because he seems to respond well to sarcasm.
For instance, anyone ever play PSO online? wait in the city before you go down to Ragol, if you sit outside the shops for a while, a nerdy looking scientist will bumb into you. If anyone can guess what we named him, my gameboy is on the house.
