CBS reality series Survivor is heading back to an island for its fourth installment.
A CBS spokesman confirmed that producer Mark Burnett is headed to the Marquesas Islands in the South Pacific for Survivor?s fourth edition.
The series will be taped on the island of Nuku Hiva, which is north east of the Tahitian Islands.
?Mark Burnett has wanted to take the show back to an island ever since the first Survivor wrapped,? said CBS spokesman Chris Ender.
The original Survivor was taped on Pulau Tiga off the coast of Borneo.
Ender had no comment on when production will start on Nukuhiva, but Burnett is expected to be preparing production because Survivor 4 is expected to air on CBS sometime after the Winter Olympics in late February or early March. - Joe Schlosser

Crappy show?
You must fall into that catagory of people who think it\'s cool to not like what is suppose to be great.
The show is extremely well done. Very well shot. Very well told. Granted it is what it is and I can\'t dispute you on that one, but on the premise of a tv show, it is very well done.
This is a very dificult show to shoot. Very harsh conditions.. I have been shooting video for over 10 years, been through many hurricanes, been through a major riot, etc.. It sucks!!! But they do a very good job.
The only thing that makes me sad is that it\'s not in HDTV. Burnet has done the ECO challenge in HD, so I know it can be done in these harsh elements, but I just hope he choses to do the next one in HD. It would look beautiful. Although I don\'t know if I really want to see what these people really look like in such high quality after a couple weeks on the island.

I think its good to go back to the islands! The australian one sucked and the african one is pretty cool!:)

There is a great article about it from CBS.com. It talks about where and when additions will be held. It also talks about how they are considering raising the bar alittle bit by making the prize 2 million dollars instead of 1 million to gain more ratings. I think they\'re crazy, but I\'m not the one with millions of dollars. :)

Please don\'t put me into generalizations like that. A crappy show is a crappy show regardless of its production values. Same with videogames.

If the Australian one sucked then I can\'t wait to see the others.

I hate Surivor. I never liked those reality TV shows. I think their stupid and a waste of good programing. This is my opinion.

On network tv, what do you consider good programming? Not includingTLC, Discovery, History, and the other cable channels. I\'m talking the big 4. Besides Alias, I can\'t even think of another hour long show I would even think to watch on Network TV. Although Boston Public is coming back this week and that is pretty good too.
