OK, I have $25. Now, I want GTA3. I own NHL 2002, Silent Hill 2 and Devil May Cry. I havent beat SH2 yet, so I cant trade that one in. I go over to my friends house every week to play NHL 2002, cant trade that in either. I did however beat DMC...but its DMC!!. I could get another $25 to buy GTA3, but then I wont have enough for MGS2 unless I do some trading. Now, from what I read, GTA3 is worth the money, but it seems like a rent to me, i\'ve played the first 2, they were the perfect rent. Is GTA3 the same? are the plot and missions actually interesting? Now, i love running around shooting people just as much as the next guy, but how long will that last do you think?
Now what I could do is:
A.) Rent it
B.) Trade in DMC and use the $25 to buy it
C.) Wait, and beat Silent Hill 2 and trade both DMC and SH2 in for GTA3
D.) Get another $25 and then buy GTA3 straight up, keeping the rest of the games, but no money for MGS2
E.) wait for MGS2
what do you think I should do in your honest opinon?

No.
Bloody interesting.
The actual missions are a 100x more interesting and exciting than unning around and beating up hookers, cops and old ladies. The game will last you easily 50hrs, IMO it\'s easily one of the best non-sports game I have ever played.
Go with D because DMC is pretty good too.
EDIT: Hmm, didn\'t realise with choice D you couldn\'t get MGS2. What a predicament. I think GTA3 is better than SH2 and DMC, and I think MGS2 will also be better than SH2 & DMC, so I guess option C - if that\'s the only way you can get the funds.

there, i edited it.

Trust me on this one. You will never need to play Silent Hill 2 again, and if you get the urge to, rent it. Second of all, DMC is good the first time through, after that, it\'s pretty bland, same ol same ol. Very short as well. Both of them could have been beaten on rentals if you played them off and on for five days.
On the other hand, GTA3 is not a rental. I just got to the second island (i\'ve owned the game for 2 days) and I\'m only 12% complete. I\'ve played it about 12 hours so far. There is also another part of the city I need to explore and so many more missions I need to do. Trust me, this game has the most lasting appeal out of the three listed above.
Finally, who can live without MGS2? MGS2 and GTA3 combine to make the two most everlasting games in the next 4 weeks or so. C is the best option there is AND you save 25 bucks. How can you got wrong?

The answer is D. I keep all of my games. If there is something else that I want then I wait until I have enough money to get it.

C
I always trade games. I only have one game cuz I trade so much!

Or you could always bring a gun into the shop and demand for it.... GTA3 style. :)

I say get a paper route.

The answer is always A if you have the opportunity. Depending on how long Hastings/Blockbuster/Hollywood/Premiere takes to get new games in.
I wouldn\'t trade DMC for anything.
